Haier HBU-14CA03/R1 [32/35] Installation procedures
Air Discharge Method
Discharge the air in the unit and piping as shown in the figure.
(1) Remove bonnet of 2-way valve of outdoor unit.
(2) Loosen the flare nut connected to the thick pipe of 3-way
valve 1-2 turns with spanner.
(3) Loosen valve core of 2-way valve 90 degree with inner
hexagon spanner, and fasten up the 2-way valve appro-
ximate 10 seconds later Gas is discharged through flare,
tighten flare nut on the 3-way valve according to the spec-
ified torque when no gas is discharged any more.
(4) Open 2-way valve and 3-way valve.
(5) Tighten bonnets of the two valves according to the specified
torque.
(6) Check for gas leakage with leakage indicator or soapy water.
If any leakage exists, fasten the 2-way valve and 3-way valve,
then discharge air again using Feron(R22) outside of the system.

Note:When piping is extended, first discharge airs in the connecting pipe with outside freon R22,
and then discharges the excessive refrigerant using bbove method.
As for newly manufactured air conditioner, additional 60g R22 has already been added based on
the specified refrigerant quantity. This method is only applied to the first installation to blow off air
inside the connection pipe and indoor unit.
