General Safety Requirements 1 Use the device solely for the intended purpose Incorrect use can lead to personal injury The manufacturer is not liable for the damages resulting from the failure to comply with reguirements of this manual 2 People with reduced capabilities lack of knowledge and experience as well as children are not allowed to use the kettle without monitoring or instructing regarding the application of the device to be conducted by a person responsible for their safety 3 Kettle packaging material may pose a hazard of suffocation for children Keep the packaging in an inaccessible place It is strictly forbidden to play with the device 4 The operating voltage of the device must match the voltage used in your home network The kettle must only be connected to a network with a grounding that conforms to the established standards When using the device application of non standard power supply facilities is prohibited 5 Use the kettle with its own base only 6 Prior to every switching up make sure that there is no damage to the casing stand and power cord of the kettle It is prohibited to plug the kettle into the socket if any Make sure that water doesn t get on the electrical contacts and connections Operation of the kettle in this case is strictly prohibited 7 Do not use the device outdoors near sources of heat and open flame at the spot of direct sunlight or near water filled containers 8 When wetting the switched on kettle or falling it into the water disconnect the device from the mains immediately The following operation of the device is possible only after checking performed by a skilled professional 9 Put the kettle on a flat stable and dry surface as far as possible from the edge Keep the device cord out of hanging from the surface on which it is placed as well as out of touching the heat sources by cord 10 The water level within the kettle must not be below the minimum mark and should not be above the maximum mark If the kettle is overfilled the water can spit out as it boils 11 Only use the kettle to heat and boil water No other liquids should be placed inside the kettle Use only cold water for filling the kettle Switching on the kettle without water is strictly forbidden 12 Forbidden to pour cold water into the kettle immediately after the full discharge of hot boiling water as heating element can be damaged 13 During maximum water level boiling in the kettle it is possible to extract condensate from the technological openings on the bottom of the kettle The condensate formation during boiling is a normal work process and can not be considered a defect 14 Connect and disconnect the appliance only with dry hands holding the electric plug never pull on the cord 15 Never leave an appliance unattended while in use Do not remove lid while water is boiling 16 Do not wash the kettle in the dishwasher as well as keep cord plug and power base under running water 17 Do not touch hot surfaces of the appliance avoid being burned by vapor while the appliance use The surface of the heating element remains hot after use 18 Do not repair the kettle on your own The appliance is to be serviced by the qualified personnel only Attention Warranty is invalid in case of the misuse of the appliance Preparing the device for operation 1 Take the kettle out of the box remove all packing 2 Make sure that the operating voltage of the appliance corresponds to the voltage used in your home network 3 Place the power base on a flat dry surface and plug it in 4 Rinse the kettle interior with cold water several times 5 Fill the kettle with water up to the maximum level close the cover 6 At the first boiling we recommend to add a few spoons of soda or citric acid to water 7 Place the kettle on the power base 8 Set the switch to on position Once the water is boiled the power switch will automatically return to the Off position the illumination will be off In case of necessity you can switch off the kettle before its automatic shutdown 9 Pour out the water 10 Repeat boiling with new water in 15 30 seconds 5
