Ergolux ELX-CI01-C64 [7/9] General safety requirements
1. Take the curling iron out of the box, remove all packing.
2. Make sure that the operating voltage corresponds to the mains voltage used in your house.
3. Unwind and stretch the power cord.
Before using your curling iron
1. Use the device solely for the intended purpose. The manufacturer is not liable for the damages
resulting from the failure to comply with requirements of this manual. The appliance should be used
only for household purposes. It is not intended for industrial use.
2. People with reduced capabilities, lack of knowledge and experience, as well as children are not
allowed to use the curling iron without monitoring or instructing regarding the application of the
device to be conducted by a person responsible for their safety.
3. Appliance packaging material may pose a hazard of suffocation for children. Keep the packaging
in an inaccessible place. It is strictly forbidden to play with the device!
4. The operating voltage of the device must match the voltage used in your home network. The hair
curler must be connected only to a network with a grounding that conforms to the established
standards. When using the device, application of non-standard power supply facilities is prohibited.
Do not use electrical extension leads, splitters and adapters to plug the hair curler. For additional
protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating
current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom.
Installation is to be effected only by qualified staff.
5. Make sure that there is no damage on the housing and the power cord of the device before each
power-on. It is forbidden to plug the curling iron in the socket if any ones.
6. Do not use the appliance outdoors and do not operate near bathtubs, showers, basins or other
vessels containing water. Keep it away from flammable materials, direct sun and high temperature.
Do not immerse the appliance in any liquid.
7. Disconnect and connect the power plug by holding onto it with dry hands instead of pulling on the
cord. Do not use the appliance while bathing; never touch it with wet hands.
8. When wetting the switched-on hair curler or falling it into the water, disconnect the device from
the socket immediately. The following using of the device is possible only after checking performed
by a skilled professional.
9. During operation put the turned on curling iron only on safe bracket on a flat dry surface. Keep it
away from the edge of the working surface and vessels containing water. Keep the cord away from
heated surfaces.
10. Do not use the hair curler with hair that is dripping wet, remove excessive moisture from hair
with a towel.
11. Do not use styling products such as sprays while operating the appliance.
12. Do not use the appliance on artificial hair.
13. ATTENTION! Do not touch the heating barrel while the curling iron is working. This can lead to
burns. If it is necessary to use both hands, use the safety tip, it remains cold during the work of the
product.
14. Never leave an appliance unattended while in use even for the short time period.
15. ATTENTION! Do not use this product near water. Do not place the heated curling iron without
safe bracket on the fabric and flammable objects.
16. Do not repair the hair curler by yourself. The appliance should be serviced by the qualified
personnel only.
Attention! Warranty is invalid in case of the misuse of the appliance!
