Most minor faults in the performance of the appliance, some of which may result
from incorrect operation, can be put right without contacting the Service Depart-
ment.
The following guide may help you to find the reason for a fault, and to correct it.
You should, however, note the following:
Unauthorised or incorrect repairs could cause personal injury or damage to
the appliance.
Repair work to electrical appliances must only be carried out by a suitably qual-
ified and trained person in strict accordance with current local and national
safety regulations. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised
work.
Technical problems
Problem Cause and remedy
The Start indicator does
not flash after switching
the dishwasher on with
the button.
The dishwasher is not plugged in, or connected to the
mains.
Plug the dishwasher in and connect it to the mains
supply.
The mains fuse has tripped.
Reset the trip switch in the mains fuse box or re-
place the fuse in the plug (minimum fuse rating -
see data plate).
The dishwasher stops
during a programme.
The mains fuse has tripped.
Reset the trip switch in the mains fuse box or re-
place the fuse in the plug (minimum fuse rating -
see data plate).
If the mains fuse trips again, call the Miele Service
Department.
The door locking pins
do not retract after the
door has opened auto-
matically.
There is a fault with the door mechanism or the door
has not been correctly balanced.
Call Miele Service.
The AutoOpen function must be switched off be-
fore the dishwasher is used again. Danger of injury
in the unlikely event of another fault.
