Place the monitor speakers at head level,
unobstructed and at equal distances to
the left and right of your
listening position.
For the K10S subwoofer, experiment with
its position, such as in the corners or near
the walls.
Connect the included power cables to
each monitor and the subwoofer.
Connect the other ends to a mains outlet
properly con gured for your models. DO NOT turn
the power on yet. If possible, connect everything to
the same outlet to avoid ground loops.
Connect the audio source to the
inputs of the monitors and subwoofer.
If connecting to a mixer, balanced
outputs from the mixer are preferable. You may also
connect the audio outputs from a computer using an
interface such as the FCA1616. See the hook-up
diagrams for some ideas.
Turn on your mixer, computer,
or other audio source, with the volume
at minimum.
Turn on the power to each monitor and
the subwoofer by ipping their rear panel
power switches.
Adjust the INPUT TRIM knob on the
back of each monitor to the center
(0 dB) position.
F or the K10S subwoofer, adjust the
LEVEL knob to the center (0 dB) position.
Adjust the CROSSOVER knob to suit the
K5, K6, or K8 monitor.
Start playing your audio source and
slowly increase the volume until you
reach a comfortable listening level.
If required, adjust the monitor’s INPUT TRIM knob
and the subwoofer’s LEVEL knob to obtain a
good balance.

Coloque los monitores a la altura de su
cabeza, sin que se vean obstaculizados
por nada y formando un triángulo
equilátero entre ellos y su posición de escucha.
E n el caso del subwoofer K10S,
realice varias pruebas con su posición,
como puede ser colocándolo en las
esquinas o cerca de las paredes.
Conecte los cables de alimentación
incluidos en cada uno de los monitores y
en el subwoofer. Conecte el otro extremo
de los mismos en una salida de corriente del voltaje y
amperaje adecuado para estos aparatos.
NO ENCIENDA todavía las unidades. Si es posible,
cone
cte todos los equipos a la misma salida de
corriente o regleta para evitar problemas
de bucles a tierra.
Conecte la fuente audio a las entradas
de los monitores y del subwoofer. Si está
realizando la conexión a una mesa
de mezclas, es preferible que utilice las salidas
balanceadas del mezclador. También puede conectar
las salidas audio de un mezclador usando un
inter
face como el FCA1616. Vea los diagramas
de conexión para hacerse una cierta idea
de las posibilidades.
Encienda el mezclador,
ordenador u otra fuente audio,
con el volumen al mínimo.
Encienda los monitores y
el subwoofer usando sus interruptores
de encendido.
Ajuste el mando INPUT TRIM del panel
trasero de cada monitor a su posición
central (0 dB).
Para el subwoofer K10S, ajuste el mando
LEVEL a su posición central (0 dB).
Ajuste el mando CROSSOVER para
adaptarlo al monitor K5, K6 o K8.
Comience la reproducción de su fuente
audio y lentamente vaya aumentando el
volumen hasta que llegue a un nivel
de escucha cómodo. Si es necesario, ajuste al mando
INPUT TRIM del monitor y el mando LEVEL del
subwoofer para conseguir un buen balance
entre ellos.
