6 PREPARING FOR OPERATION

6.1 CHECKING THE MACHINE

WARNING

Make sure that the battery is not fitted in its housing.

WARNING

The fan protection fins (D, Fig. 3, Fig. 4) must be intact to ensure the operator’s

safety. If not, replace the part.

Before beginning work, it is necessary to:

• check that the cooling vents are not clogged;

• check that the handle and machine guards are clean and dry, correctly assembled and firmly

secured to the machine;

• check that the machine has no signs of wear or damage due to impact or other causes, and

make the necessary repairs;

• check that the battery is in good conditions and that there are no signs of damage. Do not

use the machine with a damaged or worn battery;

• charge the battery following the instructions given in chapter 6.3 BATTERY CHARGING (Fig. 3).

6.2 CHECKING THE STATUS OF THE BATTERY (FIG. 2)

To check the battery (A) charge status, press button (B) which activates 4 LEDs (C) which mean

the following:

4 lit LEDs

Autonomy = 4/4

3 lit LEDs

Autonomy = 3/4

2 lit LEDs

Autonomy >= 2/4

1 lit LED

Autonomy =< 1/4

1 flashing LED Battery is flat

4 flashing LEDs Overheating

6.3 BATTERY CHARGING (FIG. 3)

CAUTION

Make sure that the mains voltage of the power outlet corresponds to that indicated

on the battery charger label.

To remove the battery (A) from the machine, press the two buttons (B) and slide the battery out

(A).
