WARNING

Do not use the starter to start the engine when already hot.

Use the semi-automatic acceleration device only when starting the engine.

7.5 RUNNING IN THE ENGINE

The engine reaches maximum power after the first 5÷8 hours of work.

During this running-in period, do not run the engine at full speed to avoid excessive stress.

WARNING

During running-in, do not vary the carburetion to obtain a presumed increase in

power; the engine could be damaged.

NOTE

It is normal for a new engine to smoke during and after its first use.

7.6 RUNNING IN THE CHAIN

The adjustment must always be made with a cold chain. Spin the chain by hand, lubricating it

with extra oil. Start the engine for a few minutes at moderate speed, checking that the oil pump

works normally. Stop the engine and adjust the chain tension. Start the engine and practice a

few cuts on a log. Stop the engine again and check the voltage again. Repeat the operation

until the chain has reached its maximum extension.

WARNING

Never touch the chain while the engine is running. Do not touch the ground with

the chain itself.

8 STOPPING THE MOTOR

Release the throttle trigger (2, Fig. 2), allowing the engine to return to idle. Stop the engine by

pressing the STOP button (10).

WARNING

Do not place the chainsaw on the ground if the chain is still moving.

9 USE

Long-term inhalation of engine exhaust fumes, oil mist from the chain and sawdust can pose a

health risk.
