• When cutting a trunk or branch under tension, be careful not to be taken by surprise by the

instant release in the tension of the wood.

• Use extreme caution when cutting small branches or shrubs that can block the chain, or be

thrown against you and make you lose your balance.

9.8.3 Precautions for use of the machine

1. The particular shape of the handles of this machine requires special attention to the

kickback phenomenon.

2. Pay close attention to sudden falls of the machine at the end of the cut, which are difficult to

control with this type of handle.

3. Beware of the skidding phenomenon. The chain, instead of penetrating the trunk, could

slide forward, escaping the control of the operator.

4. Operators carrying out maintenance work on trees must necessarily be trained in the correct

operating techniques to operate safely, such as loops, belts, ropes and carabiners, in

addition to normally used devices and on tree climbing techniques.

5. The ISO 11681-2 standard allows that, in the hands of a well-trained operator (expert), this

chainsaw can be used with one hand, adopting a safe working system and only if used for

pruning operations. For all other uses both hands must be used.

WARNING

We strongly advise against using this chainsaw with one hand.

Using the chainsaw with one hand is extremely dangerous, as all the

aforementioned dangers (1÷4) are greatly amplified.

6. Unhook the machine from the belt when refueling.

10 MAINTENANCE

WARNING

Failure or incorrect maintenance can cause serious injury to the operator or the

machine.

WARNING

Always wear protective gloves during maintenance operations. Do not carry out

maintenance with the engine hot.

Do not use fuel (2-stroke mixture) for cleaning.
