Help in case of malfunction
CAUTION!
Risk of injury
Sharp-edged and moving appliance
parts (e.g. cutting blade) as well as a
suddenly starting lawnmower can lead to
injuries.
■
Only adjust the Bowden cable with
the motor switched off.
1. Switch off the appliance and wait until the
mower mechanism has stopped.
2. Turn the adjusting part (17/1) on the Bowden
cable in the direction of the arrow (17/a).
3. To check the setting, start the motor and
switch on the wheel drive.
4. If the wheel drive still does not function, take
the lawn mower to a service centre or an au-
thorised specialist company.
8.5 Repair work
WARNING!
Risk of injury during repair work
Improper repairs can lead to serious in-
juries and damage to the appliance.

Repair work may only be carried out
by AL-KO service centres or autho-
rised specialist workshops.
In the following cases, visit the AL-KO service
centre:
■
Motor no longer starts.
■
Appliance has moved onto an obstruction.
■
Cutting blade and/or motor shaft are bent.
■
Appliance vibrates and does not run smooth-
ly.
■
Rechargeable battery has discharged or is
damaged.
9 HELP IN CASE OF MALFUNCTION

Always wear protective gloves
during maintenance, care and clean-
ing work.

For malfunctions that are not listed in
this table or that you cannot resolve
yourself, please contact our customer
service.
Malfunction Cause Remedy
Motor does not run. Safety key is not inserted in
the key switch.
Insert the safety key in the key switch.
Rechargeable battery missing
or not seated correctly.
Insert the rechargeable battery correctly.
Rechargeable battery is flat. Charge the rechargeable battery.
Cutting blade is blocked.

Free the blade of obstructions.
■
Start the appliance on short grass.
Cables or switches are defec-
tive.
Do not operate the tool! Contact an AL-KO
service centre.
Engine is losing
power.
Rechargeable battery is flat. Charge the rechargeable battery.
Cutting blade is blunt. Have the cutting blades sharpened at an
AL-KO service centre.
Too much grass in the ejector.

Remove the grass.
■
Clean the impact flap.
Motor stops during
mowing.
Cutting blade is blunt. Have the cutting blades sharpened at an
AL-KO service centre.
