Transport

Malfunction Cause Remedy

Motor is overloaded. Switch off the appliance, set on level ground

or shorter grass and restart.

Grass catcher is not

filling sufficiently.

Grass is wet. Allow the lawn to dry.

Grass catcher is clogged. Clean the grid of the grass catcher.

Too much grass in the dis-

charge channel or housing.

Clean the discharge channel/housing

■

Correct cutting height

Cutting blade is blunt. Have the cutting blades sharpened at an

AL-KO service centre.

Rechargeable bat-

tery operating time

is significantly

shorter.

Cutting height is too low. Set a higher cutting height.

Grass is too long or too wet. Allow the grass to dry and set a higher cut-

ting height.

Mowing speed is too high.

Reduce the mowing speed

■

Clean the discharge channel/housing,

the cutting blade must rotate freely.

Grass catcher is full. Empty the grass catcher and clean the dis-

charge channel.

The service life of the re-

chargeable battery has ex-

pired.

Replace the rechargeable battery. Only use

genuine accessories from the manufacturer.

Rechargeable bat-

tery cannot be

charged.

Rechargeable battery contacts

are dirty.

Clean the rechargeable battery contacts

with a non-metallic object and spray with a

contact spray.

Important: Do not short-circuit the re-

chargeable battery contacts with a metallic

object.

Rechargeable battery or

charging unit is defective.

Order spare parts from AL-KO.

Rechargeable battery is too

hot.

Allow the battery to cool down.

10 TRANSPORT

NOTE

The nominal energy of the rechargeable

battery is more than 100Wh. Therefore,

observe the following transport instruc-

tions.

The li-ion rechargeable battery contained in the

appliance is subject to the hazardous goods law,

but can be transported under simplified condi-

tions:

The rechargeable battery can be transported

on public roads by the private user without

further conditions provided it is packaged for

retail sale and the transport serves personal

purposes.

Commercial users who carry out the trans-

port in connection with their main activity

(e.g. delivery from and to building sites, or
