ENGINE If the pressure is too low it means that the oil pump is internally worn or otherwise defective and needs to be overhauled If inner parts are found to be worn down to or beyond the limit replace the complete oil pump unit OIL FILTER Removal Replace the oil filter by a new one in the follow ing manner Remove three nuts securing the filter cap Take off the cap pull out the old element Put on the cap and secure it tightly ggggjg ho fi oW ml 4 0 1 Ç qt oj i oil f o oil oith ihin irq oil ami hpiiH wg ti IjVn 1 at he unht time SUMP FILTER Removal Remove screws of oil pan and remove the oil pan from crank case Fig 7 142 Fig 7 144 Installation This package contains a rubber seal ring in addition to the oil filter When replacing the oil filter be sure to also replace the seal ring to ensure oil tightness In fitting the seal ring to the filter chamber cap lightly coat grease on the seal ring groove to avoid any chance of dropping or mislocating the ring during the installation work Remove three screws and then sump filter Fig 7 145 Installation Thoroughly wash the sump filter with detergent and fasten it with three screws 99104 32050 Fig 7 143 Thread lock 1363C Install oil pan and tighten screws Replace gasket by new one to prevent oil leakage 7 39
