6 IS Handling oftheEP8601 Never place heavy objects on the copier or subject the copier to shocks Insert the plug fully into the electrical outlet Do not open any Covers while the copier is running Do not remove any Covers which are fastened with screws There are no serviceable areas behind these Covers Never unplug or turn OFF the copier while it is in a copy mode When unplugging the power cord do not pull on the cord Take hold of the plug and pull it out Never bring any magnetized object nearthe copier Never place coffee or other liquid on the copier Never use flammable aerosols or liquids on the copier Be careful not to drop paper clips or staples into the copier If the copier produces smoke becomes inordinately hot or produces abnormal noise turn it OFF unplug it and then call your Minolta technical representative Turn the copier OFF at the end of the workday or during a power blackout Do not plug the copier into the electrical outlet which is being used for other electrical equipment Request the assistance of your technical representative when transporting the copier over a long distance
