Troubleshooting

Introduction

The most common problem in a system with multiple control panels attached is panels

with the same ID number. Each Control Panel must have its own ID number. No

panels may have the same ID number.

Upon start-up the panel lights will randomly flash while the panel receives information

from the router.

In a multi-frame system the control panels must be connected to the “master” frame.

Problem Remedy

No power  Confirm that the external power supply is supplying 9VDC.

Panel Lights Scrolling  “Scrolling” panel lights are an indication of the panel not

communicating with the router. Check the RS-485 cable and

baud rate settings of the panel and the router panel port.

Input Lights Flashing  Check that the destination is locked or you have selected an

invalid source.
