ECO16FW FLOOR THERMOSTAT
INSTALLATION AND OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
ECO16FW is a  oor thermostat which is intended to control electrical  oor heating. The
thermostat is equipped with a 30mA residual current device (RCD) and therefore the product
suits buildings where it is di cult to connect an external RCD to the circuit.
1. BEFORE INSTALLATION
Check the insulation resistance and the circuit resistance of the heating load controlled by
the thermostat.
2. INSTALLATION, FIGURES 1, 2, 3 AND 4
2.1 Place the sensor cable in a protective tube between the heating cables.
2.2 Connect the earth wires (PE) to the separate connector.
2.3 Connect the thermostat as shown in  gure 1. The control of the  xed temperature reduc-
tion is connected to the connector marked with T-. Any phase can be used to control the
temperature reduction. The connectors are screwless and the wires should be stripped at the
length of 14 mm.
2.4 Check the operation time and the operation current of the RCD with a separate test
equipment according to the local electrical safety regulations ( gure 2).
2.5 Remove the sheath of the sensor cable at a suitable length and put the wires through the
hole in the installation plate. Strip the wires at the length of 7 mm and connect to the spring
connector. (Figure 3)
2.6 Mount the thermostat into the mounting box with screws.
2.7 Mount the thermostat lid, cover plate and adjustment knob as shown in  gure 4. Cover
the thermostat from potential dust during construction.
3. OPERATION AND CONTROL, FIGURES 5 AND 6
3.1 Use the switch A to turn on and o the thermostat. The power is turned on when the slide
switch is on extreme position to the right and turned o when the slide switch is on extreme
position to the left.
3.2 Adjust the suitable  oor temperature with the adjustment knob C (the minimum set
value is 10 degrees and the maximum value is 60 degrees).
3.3 The signal light B is green when the thermostat is functioning but not heating and red
when the thermostat is functioning and the heating is turned on.
3.4 The thermostat has a  xed 4°C temperature reduction that a ects the  oor temperature set-
ting. The temperature reduction is activated with a separate control voltage. The function of the
temperature reduction is not indicated with any signal light.
3.5 The thermostat adjustment range can be limited by using the minimum and maximum
limiters of the adjustment knob ( gure 6).
3.6 Test the function of the RCD regularly (e.g. monthly) by pressing the test button D. When
the test button is pressed the current should go o and the slide switch should move to the
OFF-position. Turn the slide switch back to ON-position. If the slide switch does not stay on
