Loading Envelopes in the Bypass Tray
You can load one envelope at a time in the bypass tray.
1. Slide open the width guides.
2. Place an envelope in the bypass tray using one of the following methods:
− Insert No. 10, DL, or Monarch envelopes with the print side up, flaps closed and facing down,
and the flap side to the right.
− Insert C5 envelopes with the print side up, flaps open and facing away from the printer.
Notes:
• To prevent wrinkling on No. 10, DL, C5, or Monarch envelopes, load them print side up, flaps
open and facing away from the printer.
• When you load envelopes long-edge feed, ensure that you specify landscape orientation in the
print driver.
3. Adjust the bypass tray width guides to rest against the edges of the envelope.
