Serial Port Configuration
The DA-685 contains 8 high-performance serial ports, of which two (COM1, COM2) are software-selectable
RS-232/422/485 interfaces, and the remaining six are 2-wire RS-485 interfaces. The factory default mode for
COM1 and COM2 is RS-232; follow the directions below to reset them to another interface.
To configure serial port, you can follow below step.
1. Open the Control Panel and run Device Manager.
2. Double click MoxaCommuncation Port [1 - 8] to open the serial port you want to configure.
3. Select the operation mode and then click OK. The new operation mode will take effect when the port is
next opened. // The operation mode will effect at next port openAPI.

erial ports 3 to 8 only support 2-wire RS-485 mode. If set to another logical interface, serial communication

will fail as an incorrect configuration.
