User’s Guide
Introduction
Thank you for purchasing our Car alarm system.
Mongoose EMS 1.9R is a modern car security system, designed and manufactured to ensure
the highest level of security for your car and provide you with a number of convenience features.
Please carefully read this manual and follow its instructions while using different features and
functions of the Mongoose EMS 1.9R.
We are not responsible for any injuries or damages resulting from your wrong use of our
system.
Do not change the Installer’s Functions while using the alarm system. These functions are
to be adjusted by professional installation staff, and to tailor the alarm system for reliable and
safety operation along with the different equipment installed on your car.
If you find any problems while using the alarm system, contact your installation shop for
repairing or readjusting. Do not try to repair the alarm system yourself.
After reading this Guide you will be able to make good use of your alarm system and get as full
as possible protection for your car.
The Mongoose EMS 1.9R monitors the status of the doors, hood and trunk, twostage shock
sensor and the optional e.g. space disturbance sensor (if installed). A power siren, light
indicators, and a pager system will warn you about any intrusion into your car.
Enhanced antitheft facilities are ensured by a powerful builtin blocking relay and an
additional universal output available to connect an extra blocking relay with either normally
closed or normally opened contacts. The Passive Immobiliser function and programmable
disarm authorization procedure are included to enhance the protective abilities of the
alarm system.
Variable functions of the inputs and outputs add flexibility to the installation procedure and
daily usage of the alarm system; optional sensors and other equipment can be connected.
Builtin relays are used to connect highcurrent circuits.
The alarm system allows adjustment through programming a number of features to tailor the
system to particular car and extra installed equipment.
The selfdiagnostics feature helps to identify and quickly remove all possible faults.
The alarm system includes an engine start facility, which allows safety and reliable starting
the engine on both gasoline and diesel as well as on both automatic and manual transmission
vehicles.
Remote Control
Two Way Hand Held LCD Transceiver
5button LCD Transceiver. The Transceiver has four buttons for controlling the alarm system
and the remote start system and one button (Button S) for configuring the display. The transceiver
radio remote control incorporates random encryption technology so that the control code is
changed each time the transmitter is used. Once the transceiver receives a status change or
alarm triggered signal from the main alarm unit the LCD indication will change accordingly
and audible/vibration warning will turn on to warn you the alarm is triggered.

* ВНИМАНИЕ! При стирании кодов пультов система также удаляет коды централь
ного блока из памяти пультов управления (если они находятся в пределах зоны связи).
Это занимает примерно 8 секунд. После этого система заново прописывает код цент
рального блока в память пульта, используемого при стирании. Если Вы не хотите ждать
окончания процедуры стирания, запрограммируйте используемый пульт как описано
выше для восстановления функции пейджера.

- Для автомобилей с механической коробкой передач помимо выше перечисленных функций должна быть выполнена процедура резервирования гарантирующая что руч ка кпп находится в нейтральном положении в зависимости от программной установ ки функции 3 3 в таблице установочных функций возможны два варианта включения поддержки зажигания при выполнении процедуры резервирования пп 1 1 или 1 2 1 1 при работающем двигателе и закрытых дверях затяните ручной тормоз реко мендуется использовать этот вариант 1 2 при работающем двигателе и закрытых дверях нажмите с интервалом не более 3 секунд кнопку s и затем кнопку 1 пульта управления 2 включится поддержка зажигания выключите зажигание и выньте ключ из замка двигатель продолжит работать 3 выйдите из автомобиля и закройте двери 4 поставьте сигнализацию на охрану двигатель заглохнет если не включен ре жим турбо таймера примечание при включенной функции учета задержки салонного света и вык люченном турбо таймере двигатель после постановки на охрану заглохнет 8
- Для запуска двигателя нажмите с интервалом не более 3 секунд кноп ку s и затем кнопку 1 в случае успешного запуска двигателя на дисплее пульта появится инди кация заведенного двигателя если двигатель не завелся система сообщит об этом звуковым сигналом 8
- Если двигатель не завелся с первой попытки система сделает еще три попытки после дистанционного или автоматического запуска дви 8

- If the handbrake is released or buttons s and 1 are sequentially pressed once again if the alarm system is triggered during the turbo timer period the alarm system will change state to the fully armed condition and then enter the triggered mode the ignition support feature will be switched off immediately once the turbo timer has elapsed the alarm system will enter the fully armed condition 15
- Note 1 if you have turned on the anti hi jack function then once you open a door with the ignition on firstly turn the anti hi jack off see the anti hi jack section for details and then arm the alarm system remember that switching the anti hi jack off with a door open will cancel the anti hi jack activation until the next switching the ignition on 2 if the passive immobiliser feature has been turned on then the passive immobiliser will be activated as soon as the alarm system is disarmed from armed with turbo timer note the engine will not be blocked until the ignition is switched off however if the immobiliser trigger period is set by in programming the alarm will be triggered in set time period after the door open to prevent the alarm form being triggered press the passive immobiliser disarm button buttons to disarm the immobiliser 3 turning on in the user s programmable function 2 2 two way handset alarming on disarming and by using the passive immobiliser disarm button or button s 15

- Внимание если при одновременном включенных пассивном иммобилайзере и anti hi jack дважды нажата неправильная комбинация кнопок пульта дальнейший прием команд пульта управления будет заблокирован системой на две минуты или до ввода правильного pin кода светодиод при этом будет мигать двойными вспышками отключение иммобилайзера и anti hi jack вводом младшего разряда или полного pin кода по прежнему возможно однако если дважды введен неправильный pin код включится двух минутная блокировка ввода pin кода 15
- Если при попытке отключить иммобилайзер нажата не та комбинация кнопок ко торая запрограммирована для его отключения немедленно включится тревога отклю чить которую можно следующими способами 1 нажать нужную комбинацию кнопок брелока 2 ввести полный pin код однозначный или двузначный 3 выключить зажигание поставить и снять сигнализацию с охраны в первом и втором случае тревога и блокировка двигателя отключатся одновременно в третьем случае тревога отключится но блокировка двигателя сохранится до нажатия нужной комбинации кнопок или ввода правильного pin кода 15
- Примечание при одновременно включенных режимах пассивного иммобилайзера и anti hi jack нажатием установленной комбинации кнопок на пульте управления или вводом младшего разряда pin кода оба режима одновременно отключатся для ввода младшего разряда pin кода нажмите кнопку аварийного отключения необходимое чис ло раз и подождите несколько секунд не выключая зажигания если код введен пра вильно пассивный иммобилайзер и anti hi jack отключатся при этом дважды мигнут сигнальные фонари при выключенном режиме anti hi jack отключить иммобилайзер вводом младшего разряда двузначного pin кода нельзя 15

- Button is button 1 in order to change the disarm button you should select the user function 3 4 press buttons 1 and 2 together and then press the new button or multi button sequence on the transmitter and then press buttons 1 and 2 together once more to confirm selection and exit if the function is selected and the ignition is switched off without a transmitter button being pressed then the disarm button remains unchanged 18

- If options ii and iii are used then the alarm system will stop sounding the alarm system will disarm and the passive immobiliser will disarm if option i is used then the alarm system will stop sounding and the alarm will disarm but the passive immobiliser will remain engaged you must still press the correct passive immobiliser disarm button buttons on the transmitter or enter the pin code in order to disarm the passive immobiliser 18
- If the wrong transmitter button is pressed when the passive immobiliser is armed then the alarm system will immediately trigger in this situation there are 3 ways to stop the alarm system from sounding 18
- Note if you press button buttons 1 3 5 times in setting then the last pressed button will be set as the passive immobiliser disarm button if you press button buttons 2 4 6 times in setting then two last pressed buttons will be set as the passive immobiliser disarm combination 18

- Включение режима и выбор длительности задержки выключения двигателя производит ся программированием режим используется для турбированных двигателей и служит для продления време ни работы двигателя после выключения зажигания с целью охлаждения турбины в зависимости от установки функции 3 3 в таблице установочного программирова ния для включения режима турбо таймера при включенном зажигании и закрытых две рях затяните ручной тормоз или последовательно нажмите кнопки s и 1 после этого двигатель продолжит работать 3 или 5 минут в зависимости от программной установки досрочное отключение режима турбо таймера происходит либо при включении тревоги либо при отпускании ручного тормоза либо при приеме системой повторной команды кнопок s и 1 для постановки сигнализации в охрану в режиме турбо таймера откройте и закройте дверь и нажмите кнопку 1 пульта управления предупреждение о неисправности перепостановка на охрану активизация пассив ного иммобилайзера в режиме турбо таймера работают как обычно 18
- Для отключения охраны с заведенным двигателем нажмите последовательно кноп ки 1 и 2 при включенном режиме двушагового отпирания дверей и при необходимости открыть пассажирские двери нажмите кнопку 2 не позднее чем через 3 секунды после снятия с охраны нажатием кнопок 1 и 2 при снятии с охраны поддержка зажигания выключится либо сразу либо через 1 минуту в зависимости от установки функции 3 4 в таблице установочного программи рования либо при отпускании ручного тормоза если такой режим глушения выбран функцией 3 3 в таблице установочных функций кроме того если охрана не была отключена в течение периода времени установленного для работы двигателя см уста новка режимов периодического запуска и зажигание было выключено или включи лась тревога автоматически включается блокировка двигателя и режим полной охраны после включения по любой причине режима полной охраны для снятия с охраны на жмите кнопку 2 примечание во избежание ошибочного включения режима во время движения ав томобиля постановк 18

- During anti hi jacking procedure after warning period a turn the ignition off to stop the siren unit and enable the immobiliser b turn the ignition back on c press the override switch the number of times equal to tens digit of the pin code d cycle the ignition off on e press the override switch the number of times equal to units digit of the pin code f switch the ignition off e if the pin code is correct exit anti hi jacking mode f if an incorrect pin code is entered twice in succession then the pin code procedure should be blocked for 2 minutes 21
- During the entire anti hi jacking procedure the immobiliser will enable according to the blocking in trouble simulation function however if the permanent block were selected the system would only go to permanent block when the ignition is switched from on to off if blocking in trouble simulation is selected the last 2 cycles of the procedure i e 1 sec block and 2 second pause will repeat until the ignition is switched off and then the immobiliser will enter permanent block mode 21

- Grace and warning periods with the ignition on a press the override switch the number of times equal to units digit of the pin code b wait 3 seconds to ensure the override switch is not pressed again c if the code is correct exit anti hi jacking mode and if it is not continue with the grace or warning period entering an incorrect code will not effect the 30 second grace or warning period d if an incorrect pin code is entered twice in succession then the pin code procedure will be blocked for 2 minutes if you press the wrong transmitter button twice the transmitter operation will also be blocked for 2 minutes 21
- If you switch the ignition off when the anti hi jack has already been activated there will be a siren beep to indicate the alarm system cannot be armed from transmitter 21
- Once the anti hi jacking mode has been started all transmitter operations with exception of passive immobiliser disarm command will be completely ignored until the anti hi jack has been exited 21
- Once the pin code has been entered the system will go to the disarm condition 21
- The following pin code procedure should be used to exit the anti hi jack 21
- The system will include an installer s function termed blocking in trouble simulation if the function is off default setting then the internal immobiliser will enable as normal i e as soon as the ignition is switched off the immobiliser relay will open and immobilise the vehicle if the switch is turned on however a special safety blocking procedure will be implemented this procedure is as follows 21

- If you set the programming for the comfort window close option the output will be automatically activated when the alarm system is armed either by remote control or by key or by passive arming not re arming it remains active for 20 seconds during the 20 second close period and for the first 10 seconds after the comfort close period the two sensor sockets will be disabled this is to ensure that the sensors cannot trigger the alarm system during the comfort close period and to allow a 10 second settling period after the close period for the sensors to settle 24
