Ebara 3TP2-9 FHS M/1,5 PFC [14/60] Electrical connections and start up
The 3TP pump must be completely submerged in water when running.
Do not lift the pump using the electric supply cable!
During installation inside the well, the supply cable must be fixed to the delivery tube at intervals
of 3m. with clamps before and after the coupling flanges. The clamps must be tightly closed so
that the cable cannot slip, but it should be remembered that the tube will expand and contract,
so that it is advisable to leave a little space between the tube and the clamps.
With horizontal installation, a cooling jacket should be mounted in order to
guarantee motor cooling.
If the supply cable is damaged, substitute it with another cable.
The 3TP pump was designed to be coupled directly to the monophase line.
Before carrying out any maintenance work, the 3TP pump must be disconnected
from the line and it is necessary to wait 5 minutes before any work can be undertaken.
The pump must be earthed.
Supply voltage 1 x 200-230 V ±10% 50/60Hz PE
The 3TP pump has overload protection incorporated and therefore no extra protection is
needed.
The motor already has a start-up device incorporated, and must be connected directly to the
line.
If the pump is supplied by a power grid with a differential switch, this switch must intervene
when continuous current components (DC) are present towards earth.
When the pump is being installed in a new well, the 3TP pump must run for the first 10 minutes
without stopping with the valve only semi-open. This ensures that if sand is present this does
not overload the motor or wear out the pump more than necessary. After this, the valve can be
opened completely until clean water starts to come out.
The 3TP pump can run continuously within the performance curves of each pump as per the
5.3. Fixing the piping to the cable
5.4 Horizontal installation
Danger ! Risk of electric shock.
The pump must not be connected to an external converter.
Do not carry out the megger test because it would damage the electronic
components incorporated.
