Pressure Relief And Safety Valves

A safety valve is used to protect the pump in case of overpressure. It does this by releasing the excess pressure in a system

when all other devices fail, and is often used as an additional backup to an unloader valve. They can also be used to

provide additional safety to an individual run of pipework in a centralised cleaning system. They are usually fitted into a

“Tee” so do not see the system flow. These valves only become safety valves when adjusted by the installer of the machine.
