INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before starting the engine:

- check the oil level inside the engine. The level cap is on the upper housing of the engine (fig. 3, n.

13) and the oil level must reach between the two notches.

- check that all nuts and bolts are firmly tightened.

- check that both red levers are raised.

- check that the air filter (fig. 3, n. 15) is clean. Caution: do not blow the cartridge with compressed

air. If the cartridge is clogged, it has to be replaced.

- set the handlebar at the desired height and fix it via the appropriate screws (fig. 1, n. 20).

- fill the tank with fuel using a funnel with a very fine filter. The fuel tank cap is placed over the

engine (fig. 3, n. 12).

STARTING THE PETROL ENGINE

If the engine is cold set the throttle lever at the starter position (fully forward – fig. 4). If the engine is

warm, push the throttle lever to the midway position. Then pull hard on the pull starter handle (fig. 3,

no. 14). Once the engine is running, pull the throttle lever backwards to disengage the starter. Let the

engine warm up for a couple of minutes before starting work.

STARTING THE MACHINE

The forward lever is located on the left side of the handlebar.

CAUTION: The machine starts moving IMMEDIATELY by pressing the left red lever (fig. 2, n. 5).

By releasing the red lever (fig. 2, n. 5), the machine will stop but the engine will keep running and the

red lever returns back to the STOP position.

If the wheeled trimmer has to be braked use the left black lever (fig. 2, n. 7). CAUTION: the brake

lever and the forward lever cannot be engaged at the same time. To adjust the braking of the

machine use the adjusting screws: one is located next to the lever and is used to adjust the main

cable (fig. 5, n. 8), while other two are located below the cable splitter (fig. 6, n. 11) and are used to

adjust each single brake.

To engage the parking brake (fig. 5, n. 9) pull the brake lever and the pull the small lever underneath.

HANDLEBAR ADJUSTMENT

To adjust the height of the handlebar loosen the appropriate screws (fig. 1, n. 20), raise or lower the

handlebar and then tighten the screws again to lock its position.

STARTING WORK

Make sure there are neither people nor animals around the area to be cut.

The lever to engage the cutting device is located on the right side of the handlebar. To engage the

cutting device push the grey safety device (fig. 2, n. 3), then press the red lever (fig. 2, n. 2).

CAUTION: when pressing the right red lever (fig. 2, n. 2) and engaging the cutting device, the

strings start rotating.

IN CASE OF DANGER IMMEDIATELY RELEASE THE RED LEVER PLACED ON THE RIGHT OF

THE HANDLEBAR (fig. 2, n. 2), THE CUTTING DEVICE WILL DISENGAGE IMMEDIATELY.
