UNI UT213A B C INSTRUCTIONS 2 Measuring of DC Current Only for UT213C See Figure 3 1 Switch to the DC current gear position If the LCD doesn t display 0 hold REL key for resetting After measurement of high current tap position the LCD may display basic number since the clamp head will maintain remanence for a while 2 Press the trigger to open the clamp head use the clamp head to pick up the conductor to be tested and release the trigger slowly till the clamp head is fully closed Please ensure that the conductor to be tested shall be placed at the center of clamp head or error may occur only one current conductor can be measured during one test with clamp meter or false readings may be displayed 3 Read the DC current value directly from the display caution The current measurement shall be operated within the range of 0 40 during DC current measurement if the readings are positive it means the current is in downward direction faceplate as top while bottom cover as bottom The trigger shall not be released suddenly for impact may lead to change of readings within a short time since Hall element UT213C is sensitive not only to magnetism but also to heat and mechanical stress to a certain extent In order to ensure accurate measuring data the conductor to be tested must be placed at the center of clamp head or additional error of 1 0 may occur 17 Figure 3 18
