Operating Instructions
Turning the Tester On
Momentarily press the green button. Listen for a double beep to conrm activation. A
continual VoltBeat ash visually indicates the Tester is active.
Turning the Tester Off
Press and hold the green button for more than half a second. Listen for a long half-
second beep to conrm deactivation of the Tester. The absence of the VoltBeat ash
indicates the Tester is inactive.
VoltBeat (System Self-Test)
VoltBeat is a self-test feature for visual conrmation of battery and system integrity, and
power on. It provides a double-ash every two seconds during normal operation.
Checking for the Presence of AC Voltage
Placing the tip of the unit near an ac voltage produces a steady glow at the tip and, if
enabled, a continual beep.
Auto Power Off
After about ve minutes of non-use, the Tester automatically powers off to save battery
life. A double beep, followed by a longer, single beep, provides audible indication
that the Tester has powered off. The absence of the VoltBeat ash serves as a visual
power-off indication.
Disabling the Beeper
Disable the beeper by holding the green button down for more than two seconds during
power up. To enable the beeper again, turn the Tester off, and then turn it on.
Low Battery Indication
When the battery voltage drops below two volts, VoltBeat provides visual indication by
stopping the VoltBeat ash. Replace with two AAA (LR3) batteries.
Cleaning
Clean with damp cloth.
