42 Functional Description
2.3 Electronic Expansion Valve PI Control
Main electronic expansion valve EV1 control
Carries out the electronic expansion (Y1E) PI control to maintain the subcool at a constant value
during heating operation
The optimum initial value of the subcool is ±5°C.
Subcooling electronic expansion valve EV2 control
Makes PI control of the electronic expansion valve (Y2E) to keep the superheated degree of the
outlet gas pipe on the evaporator side for the full use of the subcooling heat exchanger.
Hydrobox electronic expansion valve control (K11E & K21E)
Carries out the electronic expansion PI control to maintain the evaporator outlet superheated
degree (SH) at constant during cooling operation.
The optimum initial value of the superheat is ±2°C.
SB = Tc - Tl SB: Subcool (°C)
Tc: Saturated condenser temperature
Tl: Liquid temperature R6T (°C)
SH = Tsh - Te SH: Evaporator outlet superheated degree (°C)
