HAT
TO
DO
BEFORE
OPERATION
This operation manual is for the following systems with standard
control. Before initiating operation, contact your dealer for the
operation that corresponds to your system type and mark.
If your installation has a customized control system, ask your dealer
for the operation that corresponds to your system.
Outdoor units (See figure 3)
Names and functions of parts (See figure 3)
(figure 3 shows system with cool/heat selectors.)

ON/OFF BUTTON
Press the ON/OFF button to start or stop the system.

OPERATION LAMP (RED)
The operation lamp lights up during operation or blinks if a
malfunction occurs.

ICON " " (CHANGEOVER UNDER CONTROL)
It is not possible to changeover heating/cooling with the remote
controller when this icon is shown.

ICON " " (AIR FLOW DIRECTION)
Refer to the chapter "6.3. Adjusting the air flow direction" on
page 5.

ICON " " (VENTILATION/AIR CLEANING)
This icon shows that the ventilation units are in operation.

This icon shows the set temperature.

(OPERATION MODE)
This icon shows the actual operation mode.

ICON " " PROGRAMMED TIME)
This icon shows the programmed time of the system start or
stop.

When the inspection/test operation button is pressed, the icon
shows the actual mode of the system.

ICON " " (UNDER CENTRALISED CONTROL)
This icon indicates that the change-over of the installation is
under centralised control. (This is not a standard specification)

ICON " " (FAN SPEED)
This icon indicates the set fan speed.

ICON " " (TIME TO CLEAN THE AIR FILTER)
This icon indicates the air filter must be cleaned. Refer to the
manual of the indoor unit.

ICON " " (DEFROST/HOT START)
This icon indicates that the defrost/hotstart mode is active. Refer
to the chapter "Explanation of heating operation" on page 4.

TIMER MODE START/STOP BUTTON
Refer to the chapter "6.4. Programming start and stop of the
system with timer" on page 5.

TIMER ON/OFF BUTTON
Refer to the chapter "6.4. Programming start and stop of the
system with timer" on page 5.

INSPECTION/TEST OPERATION BUTTON
Not used, for service purposes only.

PROGRAMMING TIME BUTTON
Use this button for setting the programming start or stop time.

TEMPERATURE SETTING BUTTON
Use this button for setting the desired temperature.

FILTER SIGN RESET BUTTON
This button is used to reset the air filter cleaning time icon. Refer
to the operation manual of the indoor unit.

FAN SPEED CONTROL BUTTON
Use this button to select the fan speed of your preference.

OPERATION MODE SELECTOR BUTTON
Use this button to select the operation mode of your preference.

AIR FLOW DIRECTION ADJUST BUTTON
This button enables to adjust the air flow direction. Refer to the
chapter "6.3. Adjusting the air flow direction" on page 5.

TERMISTOR
The termistor senses the room temperature around the remote
controller.

(these are optional accessories)

Set the switch to for fan only operation or to for heating or
cooling operation.

Set the switch to for cooling or to for heating operation.

■ In contradiction to actual operating situations, the
display on figure 1 shows all passible indications
on the remote controller with its cover opened.

direction adjust button is not available, the display
shows "NOT AVAILABLE" when pressed anyway.
