CONNECTIONS Rear panel See the connection diagram on page 3 SYNC switch Set to ON for synchronized play with the tape deck of the optional Sony LBT V33 V33W or LBT V11 V11W stereo component system Set to OFF when synchroniz ed play is not required Turn off the amplifier before making connections Be sure to connect the red plug of the connecting cord to the right R jack and the remaining one to the left L The cable connectors should be fully inserted into the jacks A loose connection may cause hum and noise Leave a little slack in the connecting cord to allow for inadvertent shock or vibration For customers supplied with a plug adaptor if necessary use the plug adaptor to connect the turntable to an ac outlet in the house However when making power connections among the Sony components this adaptor is not needed To use the unit with the optional Sony LBT V33 V33W or LBT V11 V11W stereo component system connect the stereo component system and SYSTEM control con nector of the PS LX330 with the supplied flat cord 10 pin SYSTEM control connector 10 pin Connect to the PHONO connector of the amplifier of the Sony optional LBT V33 V33W or LBT V11 V11W stereo component system for direct function remote control operation only with LBT V33 V33W and synchronized play TURNTABLE ASSEMBLY Do not connect the power cord or the connecting cords until the turntable has been completely assembled Remove all packing material and wipe the cabinet off Save the packing box and materials for possible future use 1 Keep the metallic parts indicated by the arrows in the illustration inside the large white gear 2 Set the platter on the motor board while holding the belt as shown in the illustration and hook the belt on the motor pulley 3 Place the rubber mat on the platter so that the holes for auto record size selection on the rubber mat and on the platter are matched correctly 6 TIPS ON RECORD HANDLING Before playing clean the record with a record cleaner or soft cloth If a spray cleaner is used make sure that it has dried completely before playing the record Handle a record by its edges and do not touch the grooves Use a commercially available anti static spray to neutralize the static electricity on a record Avoid exposing a record to direct sunlight or sources of heat such as a hot air duct Store your records vertically They should not be com pressed
