Lisez ce mode d‘emploi attentivement et entièrement avant d‘utiliser l‘appareil et
respectez les consignes d‘entretien.
Utilisation : Seul le personnel qualifié est autorisé à se servir des dermatoscopes.
Fonction : Le dermatoscope KaWe est destiné à l‘examen de la surface cutanée. Il assure un
grossissement de 10 fois de la surface de la peau ; sa lampe halogène éclaire la zone à examiner
d‘une manière identique à la microscopie à lumière incidente (microscopie par épuliminescence).
Dans la pratique quotidienne, la dermatoscopie examine avec précision les changements cutanés
d‘aspect pigmenté, en particulier pour le diagnostic précoce du mélanome malin. L‘humidification
de la peau par un gel spécial de dermatoscopie (Derma-Gel de KaWe) permet d‘éviter des réflexions
de la peau et de mettre en relief les altérations de la couleur de la peau afin de les détecter plus
facilement. L‘appareil est exclusivement destiné à l‘examen de la surface de la peau.

Utilisation inappropriée / Contre-indication des produits : Toute autre utilisation est con-
sidérée non conforme. Dans ce cas, le fabricant décline toute responsabilité pour les dommages
éventuels. L‘utilisateur assume seul le risque encouru. Pour l‘alimentation en courant, n‘utiliser
que la poignée livrée.
Utilisation dermatoscopes KaWe EUROLIGHT® D30 2,5 V et 3,5 V : Le bon fonctionnement
n‘est garanti qu‘à condition d‘utiliser les poignées standard KaWe 2,5 V avec des accus KaWe 2,5 V
ou 3,5 V ou avec 2 piles “C“ Baby 1,5 V. Emboîter et faire encliqueter la tête de l‘instrument. Appuyer
sur le commutateur rotatif puis tourner le bouton plastique blanc à gauche pour allumer l‘ensemble.
La clarté est facile à régler avec le rhéostat (0=OFF 1=maxi ). Tourner à droite pour revenir au point
de départ et éteindre (réglage). Ouvrir le capuchon inférieur pour changer les piles ou les accus.
La poignée à accus peut être chargée avec un chargeur KaWe MedCharge® 4000 ; à cet effet, en-
lever le capuchon plastique au fond de la poignée et enficher l‘ensemble dans l‘emplacement de
chargement du chargeur.
Dermatoscope KaWe EUROLIGHT® D30 3,5 V (version UE et USA) : Dévisser les deux parties de la
poignée et enficher la partie inférieure de la poignée avec la fiche de secteur dans la prise de courant
pour charger la poignée. (PRUDENCE : 120 V/3,5 V version USA ou 240 V/3,5V version UE !!!). Utiliser
toujours des accus 3,5 V de KaWe.
Pour détacher la tête d‘instrument, presser le manchon-raccord vers le bas et enlever la tête.
Prudence : Les accus NiMH doivent toujours être déchargés entièrement avant de les
charger à nouveau.
Utilisation : dermatoscope KaWe PICCOLIGHT® D : Le bon fonctionnement n‘est garanti qu‘à
condition d‘utiliser les poignées KaWe PICCOLIGHT® avec 2 piles (“AA“ Mignon 1,5 V).
Actionner le commutateur à coulisse ON/OFF. Allumer en poussant l‘interrupteur à coulisse en
direction de la tête du dermatoscope. Eteindre en poussant dans l‘autre direction pour retourner
au point de départ.
Pour échanger les piles et l‘ampoule, dévisser la tête du KaWe PICCOLIGHT® et échanger les pièces.
Échange de la lampe Dermatoscope KaWe PICCOLIGHT® :
Le bon fonctionnement et la qualité d‘éclairage ne sont garantis qu‘à condition d‘utiliser des
ampoules d‘origine KaWe. Dévisser la tête du dermatoscope de la poignée et la retirer en enlevant la
lampe. Si besoin est, nettoyer l‘ampoule de la lampe neuve avec une lingette imbibée d‘alcool.
L‘ampoule doit être propre et sans empreintes de doigts (exempte de graisse). Introduire la lam-
pe avec précaution dans la fente jusqu‘à ce qu‘elle touche le bout de la cheville latérale. Ensuite,
revisser la tête d‘instrument sur la poignée.
Échange de la lampe Dermatoscope KaWe EUROLIGHT® : Le bon fonctionnement et la
qualité d‘éclairage ne sont garantis qu‘à condition d‘utiliser des ampoules d‘origine KaWe.
Détacher la tête du dermatoscope de la poignée jusqu‘au déclic et la retirer en enlevant la lampe.
Continuer comme décrit pour l‘échange de la lampe du dermatoscope KaWe PICCOLIGHT®.
Maniement : Humidifier la surface cutanée à examiner avec le gel spécial de dermatoscopie KaWe
Derma-Gel. Allumer l‘éclairage et poser la rondelle de contact du dermatoscope légèrement sur la surface
cutanée à examiner. Celle-ci est uniformément éclairée par la lumière intense ce qui donne un bon
aperçu (Ø 25 mm).
La zone à examiner doit être située le plus possible au centre de la rondelle de contact. Rapprocher
l‘oeil le plus possible de l‘oculaire. Tourner l‘anneau de focalisation avec la main libre pour obtenir une
image nette de la zone à examiner. Essayer de regarder avec un oeil décontracté (non accommodé)
dans l‘oculaire. La rondelle de contact est dotée d‘une graduation permettant de mesurer les lésions
pigmentées.
En présence d‘éruption cutanée et de peau sensible (lésions), le dermatoscope peut être utilisé
sans rondelle de contact. Pour assurer une image nette, le dermatoscope ne doit pas être éloigné de
plus de 5 mm de la surface à examiner.

Please read these instructions thoroughly and carefully before attempting to use this
product and pay attention to the given instructions!
Use: The dermatoscopes are only to be used by authorized personnel.
Purpose: The KaWe dermatoscope is destined for the optical examination of the body’s surface.
It serves as a tool for the approx. 10-time magnification of the skin’s surface and illuminates the
examined dermatomic area with a halogen bulb that is comparable with reflected light microscopic
optics (epiluminescene microscopic optics). The dermatoscopes serve as a tool for the examination of
pigmentary skin modifications, especially for the early diagnosis of malignant tumours. By moistening
the skin with the special dermatoscope gel (KaWe Derma-Gel) cutaneous reflexes are avoided and the
disturbing skin surfaces will be made invisible so that only the pure skin discoloration is recognizable.
The unit is exclusively destined for the examination of the body’s surfaces.

Unsuited use/ contraindication of the products: Any other use is not in accordance with the
destination of the unit. The manufacturer is not liable for any resultant damages. The user alone bears
the risk. Only use the enclosed handle for electric power supply to the unit.
Operation KaWe EUROLIGHT® D30 2.5 V and 3.5 V dermatoscopes: EA satisfactory operation
is guaranteed with the use of KaWe standard handles 2.5 V with KaWe accumulators 2.5 V or 3.5 V
and/or with 2 batteries ”C“ Baby 1.5 V. Slip the instrument head on and lock it into place. Turn on the
sliding switch by pushing and moving the white plastic button to the left.
The light intensity (0=off 1=maximum brightness) can be easily regulated with the rheostat. Turn
off the sliding switch by moving it back to the right to its starting point (switch motion). Change the
batteries/accumulators by unscrewing the bottom locking cap.
Handles with accumulator operation can be charged with the charging station KaWe
MedCharge® 4000 by removing the plastic cap at the handle’s bottom and plugging it into the
charging slot of the KaWe MedCharge® 4000.
When removing the two twisted handle parts of the KaWe EUROLIGHT® D30 3.5 V (EU- and US
version), the lower accumulator handle can be plugged into the power supply socket (ATTENTION:
120 V/3.5 V US version or 240 V/3.5V EU version!!!). Please only use 3.5 V KaWe accumulators.
The instrument head can be removed by pushing the sleeve down.
CAUTION:
Please discharge the NiMH accumulators completely before recharging them.
Operation KaWe PICCOLIGHT® D dermatoscope: A satisfactory operation will be guaranteed
with the use of KaWe PICCOLIGHT® handles with 2 batteries (“AA“-Mignon 1.5V)
Activate the on-/off sliding switch. Turn the unit on using the sliding switch by moving it towards
the dermatoscope head. Turn off the unit by sliding the switch in the opposite direction and back
to its starting point.
Change the battery and the lamp by removing the KaWe PICCOLIGHT®-head.
Replacing the lamp in the KaWe PICCOLIGHT®Dermatoscope:
Satisfactory operation of the unit can only be guaranteed with the use of original KaWe incandescent
lamps that ensure a good light quality.
Remove the dermatoscope head from the handle and extract the lamp by pulling it out. If necessary,
clean the glass bulb of the new lamp with alcohol. The glass bulb must be properly clean and free of
finger prints (free of grease). The lamp must be pushed in carefully in the provided slot until it touches
the lateral pin. Next, screw the instrument head onto the handle.
Replacing the lamp in the KaWe EUROLIGHT® Dermatoscope: The satisfactory operation of
the dermatoscope can only be guaranteed with the use of original KaWe incandescent lamps that
ensure a good light quality.
Remove the dermatoscope head from the handle and remove the lamp by pulling it out. Then,
proceed in the exact same manner as described above for the KaWe PICCOLIGHT® lamp exchange.
Use: Moisten the dermatomic area that is to be examined with the special dermatoscope gel KaWe
Derma-Gel. Switch on the illumination and place the dermatoscope so that the contact disk rests
lightly on the dermatomic area. You will obtain a uniform intensive optical stimulation of the skin with
a large examination view (Ø 25 mm).
The area that is to be examined should be in about the middle of the contact disk. The eye should be
as close to the ocular as possible. Turn the focussing ring with your free hand until a perfectly focused
view is reached. Try to look through the ocular with a relaxed eye. The contact disk with the scale
setting measures pigmented skin modifications.
In the case of elevated skin or skin that is sensitive to the touch (injured) the dermatoscope can be
used without the contact disk. In order to ensure a precise view, the dermatoscope must be placed
within a maximum distance of 5 mm of the skin.

Warning: Never bring the dermatoscope in contact with liquid and make sure that no liquid pene-
trates the housing! Since the dermatoscope is not designed for operations, simple cleaning and/or
disinfection with a surface disinfectant with an alcoholic base is sufficient. Do not use any scrubbing
cleansing agents! The dermatoscope cannot be sterilized.
Limitation of reuse preparation: No special requirements. It is recommended that the instru-
ments be reprepared immediately after their use.

Automatic cleaning: The contact disk must be disinfected in alcohol or be boiled after each use.
Disinfection: No special requirements. The disinfectant can be used in accordance with the instruc-
tions given on the label.
Maintenance: Defective parts must be sorted out and/or replaced.
Check and performance test: The smooth running of all movable parts like the focus adjustment
must be ensured. Check all nonrepairable items like lamps and batteries/accumulators.
Packaging: Individual packaging in bags or cardboard boxes.

Zweckbestimmung: Das KaWe Dermatoskop dient zur optischen Untersuchung der Körperober-
fläche. Es vergrößert oberflächliche Hautstrukturen etwa um das zehnfache und beleuchtet mittels
einer Halogenlampe die zu untersuchende Stelle vergleichbar mit der Auflichtmikroskopie (Epilumi-
neszenzmikroskopie). Die Dermatoskopie dient dazu, in der täglichen Praxis pigmentierte Hautverän-
derungen genauer zu untersuchen, insbesondere zur Früherkennung des malignen Melanoms. Durch
Benetzen mit dem speziellen Dermatoskopgel (KaWe Derma-Gel) werden Hautreflexe vermieden und
Hautverfärbungen besser hervorgehoben und werden dadurch besser erkennbar.
Das Gerät ist ausschließlich zur Untersuchung der oberflächlichen Haut bestimmt.

Bedienung KaWe EUROLIGHT® D30 2,5 V und 3,5 V Dermatoskope: Eine ordnungsgemäße
Funktion wird durch die Verwendung von KaWe-Standardgriffen 2,5 V mit KaWe Akkus 2,5 V bzw.
3,5 V bzw. mit 2 Batterien „C“ Baby 1,5 V garantiert. Aufstecken und Einrasten des Instrumenten-
kopfs. Einschalten am Drehschalter durch Drücken und Linksbewegung des weißen Plastikknopfes.
Durch den Rheostat ist die Helligkeit einfach regulierbar (0=aus 1=max. Helligkeit).
Ausschalten durch Rechtsbewegung zurück zum Ausgangspunkt (Schaltbewegung). Batterie- bzw.
Akkuwechsel durch Öffnen der Bodenverschlusskappe.
Griffe mit Akkubetrieb können durch entfernen der Kunststoffkappe am Griffboden und Einstecken in
einen Ladeschacht an der KaWe MedCharge® 4000 geladen werden.
Beim KaWe EUROLIGHT® D30 3,5 V (EU- und US-Version) kann durch Abschrauben der zwei
zusammengedrehten Handgriffteile das untere Griffteil mit dem Netzstecker zum Aufladen in die
Netzsteckdose gesteckt werde. (ACHTUNG: 120 V/3,5 V US-Version oder 240 V/3,5V EU-Version!!!).
Stets KaWe-Akku 3,5 V verwenden.
Der Untersuchungskopf kann durch herabdrücken des Überwurfhülse gelöst und entnommen
werden.
ACHTUNG:
NiMH-Akku bitte stets vollständig entleeren und erst dann aufladen.
Bedienung KaWe PICCOLIGHT® D Dermatoskop: Eine ordnungsgemäße Funktion wird durch
die Verwendung von KaWe PICCOLIGHT®-Griffen mit 2 Batterien („AA“-Mignon 1,5V) garantiert.
Betätigen Sie den Ein-/Aus-Schiebeschalter. Einschalten am Schiebeschalter durch Schiebebewe-
gung in Richtung des Dermatoskopkopfs. Ausschalten durch Schiebebewegung in entgegengesetzter
Richtung zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
Batteriewechsel und Lampenwechsel durch Abschrauben des KaWe PICCOLIGHT®-Kopfes und
entsprechenden Austausch.
Lampenwechsel KaWe PICCOLIGHT®-Dermatoskop: Die ordnungsgemäße Funktion und die
Lichtqualität sind nur mit originalen KaWe Glühlampen garantiert.
Schrauben Sie den Dermatoskopkopf vom Griff und entfernen Sie durch Herausziehen die Lam-
pe. Reinigen Sie ggf. den Glaskolben der neuen Lampe mit einem alkoholgetränkten Tuch. Der
Glaskolben sollte sauber und frei von Fingerabdrücken (fettfrei) sein. Die Lampe muss bis zum
Anschlag des seitlichen Stifts in den vorgesehenen Schlitz vorsichtig eingeschoben werden.
Anschließend den Untersuchungskopf wieder auf den Griff aufschrauben.
Lampenwechsel KaWe EUROLIGHT®-Dermatoskop: Die ordnungsgemäße Funktion und die
Lichtqualität sind nur mit originalen KaWe Glühlampen garantiert.
Klicken Sie den Dermatoskopkopf vom Griff und entfernen Sie durch Herausziehen die Lampe. Von
nun an verfahren Sie auf gleiche Weise wie oben beim Lampenwechsel KaWe PICCOLIGHT® beschrie-
ben.
Handhabung: Benetzen die zu untersuchende Hautstelle mit dem speziellen Dermatoskopgel KaWe
Derma-Gel. Schalten Sie die Beleuchtung ein und setzen Sie das Dermatoskop mit der Kontaktscheibe
locker auf die Hautstelle auf. Dadurch erhalten Sie eine gleichmäßig intensive Ausleuchtung der Haut-
stelle mit großem Untersuchungsbild (Ø 25 mm).
Der zu untersuchenden Bereich sollte möglichst in der Mitte der Kontaktscheibe liegen. Das Auge
sollte möglichst nahe am Okular sein. Drehen Sie mit der freien Hand den Fokussierring bis ein
scharfes Bild der zu untersuchenden Hautstelle entsteht. Versuchen Sie dabei mit entspanntem, nicht
akkomodiertem Auge durch das Okular zu schauen. Die Kontaktscheibe mit Skalierung dient zur
Messung von pigmentierten Hautveränderungen.
Bei erhabenen oder berührungsempfindlichen Hautstellen (Verletzungen) kann das Dermatoskop
ohne Kontaktscheibe verwendet werden. Für die Gewährleistung eines scharfen Bildes darf das
Dermatoskop max. 5 mm von der zu untersuchenden Fläche entfernt sein.

Warnhinweise: Legen Sie das Dermatoskope niemals in Flüssigkeit und achten Sie darauf, dass
keine Flüssigkeit in den Griff eindringt! Da das Dermatoskop nicht für operative Eingriffe bestimmt
ist, reicht eine einfache Reinigung bzw. Desinfektion mit einem Oberflächen-Desinfektionsmittel
auf alkoholischer Basis. Keine scheuernden Reinigungsmittel verwenden! Das Dermatoskop ist nicht
sterilisierbar.
Begrenzung der Wiederaufbereitung: Keine besonderen Anforderungen. Es wird empfohlen,
die Wiederaufbereitung eines Instruments baldmöglichst nach dessen Verwendung vorzunehmen.
Anweisungen
Arbeitsplatz: Oberflächenverschmutzung mit einem Einmaltuch/Papiertuch entfernen.
Aufbewahrung und Transport: Keine besonderen Anforderungen.
Reinigungsvorbereitung: Keine besonderen Anforderungen, Zerlegung nicht erforderlich.
Reinigung manuell: Zur Vermeidung von Verschmutzung und Verstaubung bewahren Sie das
Dermatoskop bitte stets in der Verpackung auf. Es kann außen mit einem feuchten, weichen und
fusselfreien Tuch gereinigt werden. Zur Desinfektion des Geräts kann das Tuch mit Alkohol angefeuch-
tet werden.
Reinigung automatisch: Die Kontaktscheibe muss nach jedem Gebrauch in Alkohol eingelegt
oder ausgekocht werden.
Desinfektion: Keine besonderen Anforderungen, Desinfektionslösung kann in Übereinstimmung
mit den Anweisungen auf dem Etikett verwendet werden.
Wartung: Beschädigte Teile aussortieren bzw. ersetzen.
Kontrolle und Funktionsprüfung: Die beweglichen Teile wie Fokuseinstellung auf Leichtgängig-
keit prüfen. Verbrauchsteile wie Lampe und Batterie/Akku prüfen.
Verpackung: Einzeln in Tasche oder Kartonage.
Sterilisation: Kein chirurgisches Instrument, keine Sterilisation am Gerät notwendig bzw. durch-
führbar.
Lagerung: Keine besonderen Anforderungen.
