1 Important Safety Information

 Read the operating instructions carefully before using the device.

 Always keep the manual in the vicinity of the device and hand it over to

other device users.

 Prevent exposure to smoke, dust, dirt, shocks, chemicals, moisture,

heat and direct sunlight.

 Saliva, cleaning solutions, disinfectants and other liquids must not get

near the display because such fluids could get into the device and

damage the electronics.

 The thermometer must never be bitten.

 The measuring tip must not be bent excessively. Do not bend the tip

more than 45 degrees!

 Do not let the thermometer fall.

 The thermometer is an electronic device and contains small parts

(battery compartment cover, battery) which could be swallowed by

children. The thermometer must not be used as a toy by children.

2 Intended Use

The digital thermometer serves to measure the body temperature orally.

Due to the short measuring time necessary and flexible measuring tip the

device is particularly suitable for measuring the body temperature of babies

and small children. Any other use is considered unintended use.

Unauthorised modification or reconstruction is not permitted. Under no cir-

cumstances open the device or complete any repair work yourself.
