SAFETY MEASURES
Before using the unit, read these instructions
carefully and pay attention to illustrations.
A travel iron will help you to take care of
your clothes when you travel or have a
business trip, but it is not to be considered
as a substitute for a normal home iron.
Before plugging the iron in, set the AC
voltage selector according to the mains
voltage.
After using the iron at the mains voltage of
115 V always set the AC voltage selector
to the 230 V position, this will prevent the
iron from damage if it is connected to the
mains with higher voltage.
Do not connect the iron to mains sockets
intended for electric shavers (in long dis-
tance trains).
Use the iron only for the intended pur-
poses specified in the instruction manual.
Do not use the unit outdoors.
Before switching the iron on, unwind the
power cord completely.
The power cord is equipped with a “euro
plug”; plug it into the socket with reliable
grounding contact.
Place the iron on a flat stable surface or
use the ironing board.
Never leave the operating iron unattend-
ed.
Always unplug the unit if you are not
using it.
Always take the power plug out of the
socket before filling the water tank with
water.
The water inlet lid should be closed dur-
ing ironing.
Do not fill the water tank with scented liq-
uids, vinegar, starch solution, descaling
reagents, chemicals, etc.
Avoid contact of open skin areas with
iron hot surfaces or outgoing steam to
avoid burns.
Provide that the power cord is not hang-
ing over the edge of the ironing board
and make sure that it does not touch hot
surfaces.
Before plugging/unplugging the iron, set
the temperature control knob to the
position, and the continuous steam sup-
ply knob to the position « » (steam sup-
ply is off).
To unplug the iron always hold the power
plug, never pull the power cord.
To avoid electric shock do not immerse
the unit into water or any other liquid.
For children safety reasons do not leave
polyethylene bags, used as packaging,
unattended.
Attention! Do not allow children to play with
polyethylene bags or packaging film. Danger
of suffocation!
Do not leave children unattended to avoid
them using the unit as a toy.
This unit is not intended for usage by
children. Place the unit out of reach of
children during the operation and cool-
ing down.
