Protective Covering
Hoses with Hook and Loop Scuff Jackets
1. Lay the joint protector (C) flat and center under the
joint. Ensure the hook and loop on the outside of
the hose scuff jackets (SJ) and the inside of the
joint protector (C) connect.
2. Open the top of the hoe scuff jacket (SJ).
3. Alternate stacking the scuff jacket (SJ) and joint
protector (C) to create an interlocking joint as
shown.
a. Connect the double-sided hook and loop of the
joint protector to the inner layer of the scuff
jacket.
b. Connect the outer layer of the scuff jacket to
the joint protector.
c. Connect the outer layer of the joint protector to
the inner layer of the joint protector.
Hoses with Hook and Loop Scuff Jackets
Pull the excess scuff jacket over the joint and secure
with tape as shown below.
