Do not locate the sensor near a source of heat e g a chimney or heating elements Avoid locations which accumulate sunlight and radiate heat e g steel brick or concrete structures tiles and courtyards The international norm for the correct measurement of air temperature specifies a height of 1 25 metres above the ground Ensure that the main unit is located within the operating range of the sensor In the ideal case the main unit should be located directly in the line of sight of the remote sensors Do not place the main unit on a surface that radiates heat e g heating ducts or air conditioning units and locations subject to interference by wireless devices e g wireless telephones wireless headsets baby monitors and other electronic devices LOW BATTERY WARNING REMOTE UNIT When it is time to replace batteries the respective low battery indicator next to the outdoor temperature will be shown on the main unit s display LOW BATTERY WARNING MAIN UNIT When it is time to replace batteries the respective low battery indicator next to the time with seconds will be shown on the main unit s display GETTING STARTED HOW TO CHECK REMOTE AND INDOOR TEMPERATURES Remote unit once batteries are in place they will start transmitting temperature readings in every 43 seconds Main unit after batteries are installed the indoor temperature reading with the icon will be displayed and an initial search for the remote temperature will be started in 2 minutes The remote icon will be flashing as below Upon successful reception the remote temperature will be displayed with a full icon as below If no readings are received from the remote unit for more than two minutes will be displayed as below Check if the remote unit is sounded and secured You can wait for a little while or hold DOWN button for 3 seconds to enforce an immediate search If no button is pressed the main unit will search for the remote signal again in 4 hours automatically If the temperature goes above or below than the temperature measuring range of the main unit or the remote unit stated in specification the display will show HHH or LLL Repeat this step whenever you find discrepancies between the reading shown on the main unit and that on the remote unit EN 3
