FOR A QUICK SETUP 1 Slide the cover on the rear side of the device s case to open the battery compartment cover and place 3XAAA batteries into the battery compartment according to correct polarity it is marked inside the battery compartment 2 Open the transmitter battery cover and insert 2 AAA batteries into the battery compartment according to correct polarity it is marked inside the battery compartment Immediatedly therefafter data will be transmitted from the sensor to the main unit For the purpose of performing the tasks descripbed in this step it is appropriate for the main unit and the external sensor to be located to each other eg on a table 3 After the main unit receives all the data lnformation about the temperature in the installation location of the external sensor the main unt will start searching for the time standard signal transmitted by the DCF transmitter located in Germany Reception of the signal from the DCF transmitter is indicated on the display of the main unit by the appropriate icons The time standard signal is being received The T icon is flashing After successful reception The 1 icon is flashing Unsuccessful reception The icon is not display Additional information Pressing DOWN button on the device in the operating mode will display information about the reception mode and signal strength from the DCF transmitter on the display of the main unit The signal strength of the DCF transmitter is indicated on the display by one weak to three bars strongest during standard use of the device thre are two top three bars signal strength fluctuates shown on the display EN 4
