LED Quest General Instructions
Introduction: The American DJ® LED Quest is a birght LED moon-
ower effect. This fixture is designed for mobile DJ’s, clubs, bands,
roller rinks and any arena that requires a compact, light weight, easy
to use unit.
General Operation: This fixture is designed to operate as a stand
alone sound active unit, there is no need of a controller. It has been
tested and there is no assembly necessary. The LED Quest is ready
to be plugged in out of the box, there is no power switch. Plug the
unit in to a matching power outlet or into a power pack. Light output
will be immediate when the unit is powered on. The unit must receive
a sound source to operate normally. Use the sound sensitivity knob
on the rear of the unit to adjust the sound sensitivity. Turning it clock-
wise will make it more sensitive to sound, turning it counter-clockwise
will make it less sensitive.
Master-Slave Operation: This function will allow you to link up to 16
units together and operate without a controller. The units will be sound
activated. In Master-Slave operation one unit will act as the controlling
unit and the others will react to the controlling units programs. Any unit
can act as a Master or as a Slave.
1. Using standard XLR microphone cables, daisy chain your units
together via the XLR connector on the rear of the units. Remem-
ber the Male XLR connector is the input and the Female XLR
connector is the output. The rst unit in the chain (master) will use
the female XLR connector only - The last unit in the chain will use
the male XLR connector only. For longer cable runs we suggest a
terminator at the last fixture.
2. On the Master unit the dipswitches should be in the “Off” posi -
tion.
3. On the slave units put both dipswitches on the “On” position.
4. The slave units will now follow the Master unit.
