L6LINKisaproprietarydigitalnetworkingprotocoldevelopedbyLine6toenableeasy,reliable,one-cableconnectivitybetweenvariousLine6products.
UptonineStageSourcespeakers(L2t,L2m,L3t,andL3m)andnineL3ssubwooferscanbeconnectedviaL6LINK,andchannelassignmentisautomatic,
withtherstspeakerinthechain(master)providingthedigitalaudiochannelsdistributedtoallotherspeakersinthenetwork.AllL3sandvertically-
orientedStageSourcespeakers(L3t/mandL2t/m)followchannelassignmentshowninthetablebelow.Forexample,connectingtwouprightL2torL2m
speakerstogetherautomaticallyconguresthemasleftandright.ConnectingthreeuprightL2t/L2mspeakerstogetherconguresthemasleft,mono
center(left+right),andright.PlacinganyL2t/L2mintheL6LINKnetworkonitssideassumesitwillbeusedasaoormonitor,conguresitasleft+
right,andtheremainingspeakersfollowthebehaviorinthetablebelow.Eachspeaker’srearpanelL6LINKdisplaywillindicatethecurrentassignment:
Left(“L”),right(“r”),orL+R(“b”forboth).
WhenconnectingoneormoreL3ssubswithStageSourcespeakers,crossoverpointsareselectedautomatically.
WhenusedinconjunctionwithaStageScapeM20dmixer,channelassignmentsbehaveasabove,exceptanyStageSourceL3t/mandL2t/mspeakerslaid
ontheirsideare,bydefault,fedbymonitorfeedA,B,C,andD,respectively.Furthermore,anyspeakeronthenetworkcanhaveitschannelassignment
changedmanuallyfromtheStageScapeM20dtouchscreeninterface.Inthiscase,eachspeaker’srearpanelL6LINKdisplaywillindicateitssequential
numberinthenetwork.Allspeakersarenumberedindependently.
Westrongly recommendtheuseof110-ohmAES/EBUdigitalcablesforusewithLine6LINKconnectionsforStageScapeandStageSource.Theuseof
standardXLRcablesmayyieldinconsistentresultsbecauseofthevaryingqualityofcommercially-availableXLRcables.Cableslongerthan50feetare
notrecommendedforL6LINK.
