Kitchen hood
ments (binoculars, magnifying glasses,
etc.).
 Clean dirty surfaces and the
grease-absorbing aluminium lter every
month (see section 8). If the lter is not
cleaned in accordance with the operat-
ing instructions, the performance of the
hood is reduced and there is a risk of
re! Never operate the appliance with-
out the lter installed!
Install the hood above the stove
(hob) in accordance with the installa-
tion instructions.
Do not allow a are ame to de-
velop under the hood! The ames of
gas burners must always be covered
with cookware. Strong heat from the
ame of the gas burners can damage
the appliance.
 Troubleshooting work must be
carried out by a person trained in work-
ing with electrical installations. If the
electric cable is damaged, it must be re-
placed by a qualied service technician.
It is strictly forbidden to cut the plug
when installing the hood.
The kitchen hood is only intend-
ed to exhaust or purify the air.
Protect it from static and dynamic
stresses.
 When the appliance is operated
simultaneously with heating equipment
that is used with exhaust pipes (heating
systems, ow-through water heaters
or gas, liquid or solid fuel boilers), it is
necessary to ensure an air supply suf-
cient for fuel combustion; the negative
pressure must not exceed 0.04 mbar. If
the air supply is insufcient, there is a
risk of poisoning by combustion gases
that are sucked back into the room by
the appliance (this does not apply to air
cleaners, which only return the air back
into the room).
 Contaminated air must not be
discharged by connecting to an exhaust
duct designed to remove combustion
gases from appliances that use com-
bustion gas or other fuels (this does not
apply to air cleaners, which only return
air back into the room).
 This appliance is NOT intended
for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or men-
tal capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction con-
cerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
 Children should be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
 In the electrical circuit, when
connecting the hood, it is mandatory to
use a circuit breaker with a tripping cur-
rent not exceeding 16 A (2 A is recom-
mended).
WARNING! THE ACCESSIBLE
PARTS OF THE KITCHEN HOOD CAN BE-
COME HOT WHEN USED WITH COOKING
APPLIANCES.
