8 STARTING

8.1 FUEL

WARNING

Gasoline is an extremely flammable fuel. Use extreme caution when handling

gasoline or a fuel mixture. Do not smoke or bring any fire or open flames near the

fuel or the machine. Mix fuel outdoors where there are no sparks or open flames.

• To reduce the risk of fire and burns, handle fuel carefully. It is highly flammable.

• Shake and place the fuel in an approved fuel container.

• Place on clear ground, stop the engine and let it cool before refueling.

• Loosen the fuel cap slowly to release the pressure and to prevent fuel from spilling.

• Tighten the fuel cap securely after refueling. Vibrations can cause the cap to loosen and fuel

to leak.

• Wipe off any fuel that has spilled from the tank. Move the machine 3 meters away from the

refueling site before starting the engine.

• Never try to burn spilled fuel under any circumstances.

• Do not smoke when handling fuel or operating the machine.

• Store fuel in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place.

• Do not store the fuel in places with dry leaves, straw, paper, etc.

• Store the unit and fuel in places where fuel vapors do not come into contact with sparks or

open flames, water boilers for heating, electric motors or switches, ovens, etc.

• Do not remove the fuel tank cap when the engine is running.

• Do not use fuel for cleaning operations.

• Be careful not to spill fuel on your clothing.

This machine is driven by a 2-stroke engine and requires preliminary mixing of gasoline and 2-

stroke engine oil. Mix unleaded gasoline with two-stroke engine oil in a clean container

approved for gasoline.

Recommended fuel: this engine is certified to run on unleaded gasoline for motor vehicles

requiring an octane number of 89 ([R + M] / 2) or higher.

Mix the 2-stroke engine oil with the gasoline, according to the instructions on the label.

We recommend using 2-stroke engine oil Oleo-Mac / Efco at 2% (1:50) formulated specifically

for all air-cooled two-stroke engines.

The correct proportions of oil/fuel indicated in the table (Fig. A) are suitable when using engine

oil Oleo-Mac / Efco PROSINT 2 EVO and EUROSINT 2 EVO or equivalent high quality engine oil

(JASO FD or ISO L-EGD specifications).
