Check the condition of the fuel filter periodically. To clean the filter, pull it out of the fuel filler
hole; if it is excessively dirty, replace it (Fig. 21).
10.5 ENGINE
Clean the cylinder fins periodically with a brush or compressed air.
CAUTION
If dirt is allowed to build up on the cylinder it could cause overheating and impair
engine performance.
10.6 SPARK PLUG
Regularly clean the spark plug and check the electrode gap (Fig. 22).
Use a TORCH L8RTF spark plug or other brand of equivalent thermal grade.
10.7 BEVEL GEAR
Every 30 working hours, remove the screw (D, Fig. 9) on the bevel gear and check the grease
level.
Use no more than 10 g of quality molybdenum disulfide grease.
10.8 TRANSMISSION
Every 30 working hours, grease the hard tube joint holder (D, Fig. 24) with molybdenum
disulfide grease.
10.9 CARBURETOR
Before adjusting the carburetor, clean the air filter (B, Fig. 23) and run the engine until warm.
The idle speed screw (T, Fig. 20) is adjusted so that there is a good safety margin between the
idle speed and the clutch engagement speed.
WARNING
With the engine idling (3000 rpm), the blade must not turn. We recommend that
you have your Dealer or Authorized Workshop make all carburetion
adjustments.
When using the machine above 1000 m of altitude, it is necessary to have the
carburetion checked by an Authorized Service Center.
10.10 MAJOR SERVICING
It is necessary to have the machine inspected by a specialist technician at an Authorized Service
Center at the end of each season, if used intensively, or every two years in the case of normal
