NOTE

Grass-cutting blades are reversible: when one side is no longer sharp, the blade can be

reversed and the other side (Fig. 17) can be used.

10.2 NYLON TRIMMER HEAD

Always use the same diameter as the original thread so as not to overload the engine (Fig. 18).

To lengthen the nylon thread, tap the head on the ground while working.

CAUTION

Do not tap the trimmer head on concrete or pavement.

10.2.1 Replacing the nylon thread in the TAP&GO trimmer head (Fig. 19)

1. Press the tab (1, Fig. 19) and remove the cover and inner spool.

2. Double back the thread, leaving one end about 14 cm longer than the other one.

3. Lock the thread into the notch (2, Fig. 19) on the spool.

4. Wind the thread in the direction of the arrow, each end in its chink, evenly, without crossing

them.

5. When you have finished winding the thread, lock it into the thread slots as shown in (3,

Fig. 19).

6. Assemble the spring.

7. Pass the thread through the eyelets (4, Fig. 19).

8. Lock the trimmer head with the cover (5, Fig. 19).

9. Pull the thread outward (6, Fig. 19).

10.3 AIR FILTER

CAUTION

A clogged filter will cause the engine to run erratically, increasing its consumption

and decreasing its power.

Every 8 to 10 hours of operation:

1. Remove the cover (A, Fig. 23), clean the filter (B, Fig. 23).

2. Blast dry with compressed air blowing from the inside outwards.

3. Replace if dirty or damaged.

10.4 FUEL FILTER PERIODICALLY

WARNING

A dirty filter causes starting difficulties and decreases engine performance.
