8.3 CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

WARNING

Adjust the cutting height only with the engine stopped and safety key (9, Fig. 2)

removed.

Adjust lever (A) to set the required cutting height (Fig. 13).

NOTE

• If the height of the grass to be mowed is excessive, make two passes: the first at the

maximum height, the second at the desired height.

• Mow the lawn in a “snail-like” pattern from the outside to the inside.

8.4 FULL-BAG INDICATOR

There is a full-bag indicator on top of the grass catcher (7, Fig. 2). When the deflector is in its

raised position (A, Fig. 14) this means that the grass catcher is collecting grass cuttings. When

the deflector is in its lowered position (B, Fig. 14) this means that the grass catcher is full and

must be emptied.

9 STOPPING THE ENGINE

Release the lever (D, Fig. 15).

WARNING

After releasing the lever (D) the motor and blade will continue to spin for about 3

seconds!

WARNING

Check, before each use, that releasing the engine lever stops the engine within a

matter of seconds. Periodically have the correct stopping time of the blade checked

by an Authorized Service Center.

10 MAINTENANCE

WARNING

• Always wear protective gloves during maintenance operations.

• Do not carry out maintenance with the engine hot.

• Failure to maintain or improper maintenance, removal or modification of safety

devices, and/or use of non-original spare parts, can cause serious or fatal injury

to the operator or third parties.
