1 PRECAUTIONS FOR INSTALLATION TRANSPORTATION AND HANDLING Precautions for Routine Handling A Caution Actions in response to troubles The machine contains very hot portions and high voltage portions and if you touch them you may be burnt or electrically shocked For your jam removal and toner supply refrain from acting against the caution labels see Page 2 Do not touch the inside of the machine for any other purpose than these specific ones If machine repair is necessary be sure to contact your service centre Never repair by yourself If any abnormal sound smell or smoke etc is generated from the machine immediately stop using turn off the power switch pull the power plug from the socket and contact your service centre If the breaker is turned off or the fuse blows stop using and contact your service centre Never use any fuse not in conformity the rating or wire etc A Caution Prevention of fire etc Do not use any volatile combustible such as a thinner or alcohol near the machine since otherwise a fire etc may be caused A Caution Inhibition of machine modification Modifying the machine or removing any part may cause any unexpected accident Never do it A Caution Prevention of leak etc Do not spill water or any other liquid onto the machine A Caution Prevention of machine troubles Do not drop any metallic article such as a clip into the machine Do not use the machine for any other purpose than copying Do not put any vase book or ornament etc on the machine 8
