2 IN/2 OUT MIDI MERGER

The Merge 2 x 2 MIDI Merger allows any two incoming

MIDI signals to be merged and sent to either one or

two MIDI devices. Merge 2 x 2 can also be used as a 1

In / 2 Out MIDI thru box.

Merge 2 x 2 can be used whenever you have two MIDI

signals that need to go to the same destination. Also,

if you find that your MIDI system has had a “nervous

breakdown,” the 2 x 2 has a built-in “panic button” fea-

ture.

Merge 2 x 2 draws power directly from the MIDI Out of

any instrument or sequencer connected to either of its

MIDI Ins -- so it needs no external power supply. The

instrument that is connected to the Merge 2 x 2's MIDI

In must be turned On in order for the 2 x 2 to receive

power. When this is done, the red power LED will light.

IMPORTANT: Merge 2x2 takes 2 or 3 seconds to

power-up after active MIDI is connected to either of its

MIDI Ins. During this brief power-up time the Merge

2x2 will not merge.

To use Merge 2 x 2, connect the MIDI Outs of the

instruments or sequencers you wish to merge to the 2

x 2’s MIDI Ins. Next, connect the Merge 2 x 2's MIDI

Outs to the MIDI Ins of your desired MIDI devices. Both

Merge 2 x 2's MIDI Outs are identical so it doesn't mat-

ter which 2 x 2 MIDI Out is connected to which instru-
