Flexible zone This may be used as one complete hotplate or two individual hotplates depending on the actual cooking needs It works as follows It consists of several independently controlled inductors When the zone is working those inductors that are not covered by cookware are automatically turned off Advice on using cookware To ensure that the cookware is detected and heat is distributed evenly correctly centre the cookware in the upper or lower part of the flexible zone when the cookware is smaller than 13 cm see diagram or in one of the two halves of the flexible zone when the cookware is larger than 13 cm see diagram When using cookware of a different size or made of a different material noise and vibrations that do not affect correct working of the zone may occur Consisting of two independent zones How to activate The flexible zone can be used normally as two independent hotplates See the section on adjusting the hotplate As one hotplate To use the entire hotplate with all individual zones How to activate The hob must be switched on 1 Press the symbol The indicator lights The flexible zone has been switched on Now select the required heat setting by sliding your finger along the programming zone until the required heat setting lights 19
