• Maximum pressure 0.4 bar (5.8 psi.).

• Always keep UV-C units and UV-C lamps out of the

reach of children!

• Ensure that there is sufficient water flow through

the sera fil bioactive + UV external filter before

switching on the UV-C lamp. A minimum flow rate

must be ensured also during operation.

• Too frequent “ON/OFF” switching reduces the life

expectancy of the UV-C lamp.

• Ensure that the electrical plug of the switched-on

unit is freely accessible at all times.

• Damage of the pump head, the cable or the plug

must not be repaired! In this case the filter must

immediately be disconnected from mains supply,

and must not be operated any more. This also ap-

plies in case of intended alterations of these

parts. This kind of damage must not be repaired

or mended. In case of damage or leakage at the fil-

ter canister, at the seals, or in the parts that con-

tain water, the filter must immediately been taken

apart and repaired.

• The filter must be connected with a fault current

protection switch (RCD 30 mA).

Warning

1. Children should be supervised to ensure that they

do not play with the appliance.

2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons

(including children) with reduced physical, senso-

ry or mental capacities, or lack of experience and

knowledge, unless they have been given supervi-

sion or instruction concerning use of the appli-

ance by a person responsible for their safety.

3. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced

by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly

qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Recommendations

• Additionally secure all hose connections with

stainless steel hose clamps.

• Always carry the filter by supporting the bottom.

Never lift it by the filter head, its external parts or

its hose connections.

• Replace all hoses and the filter head seal every

2 years. Grease the filter head seal with Vaseline

every time before you close the filter.

• Place the filter into a plastic bowl. Direct a hose

and cable loop into the bowl to avoid damage

caused by dripping water.
