Checking and setting combustion
components
Burner is supplied already set for natural
gas.
• Remove safety screw D.
• Remove mobile spindle E.
• Open burner body.
• Disconnect both ignition cables and
ionization probe cable.
• Loosen by two turns all four screws 1
of RTC plate.
• Loosen nut and side screw C retaining
gas feed line.
• Take out combustion components.
• Check settings of the following :
ignition electrodes and diffusers
according to available gas and
diagrams opposite.
• Check that O-ring J1 is in correct
position on gas feed line.
• Reassemble unit.
• Check the following :
- tightness of screw and bolt C.
- possible leaks.
Secondary air
This is the amount of air flowing between
the turbulator diameter and blast-tube.
Turbulator position (dimension
Y
) is read
on the 0 to 50mm graduated scale of the
RTC
(Maintained head settings)-system.
Maximum secondary air is set at 50 and
minimum at 0.
On delivery, dimension
Y
is set at 35mm.
However, this value can be adjusted
according to the following:
- firing quality (shock, vibration, judder,
time lag),
- combustion quality,
this value can be changed.
Setting
This is performed without removing
burner, whether stopped or in operation,
according to enclosed values.
By reducing dimension Y, CO
2
increases and vice versa.
• Loosen both screws 2 (diagram).
• Slide unit in chosen direction.
• Retighten both screws 2.
( Four screws to take out the
combustion components.
