HOW TO OPERATE THE FREEZER

COMPARTMENT

The freezer is a star compartment.

This compartment can be used to store frozen foods for the

period of time indicated on packaging. The freezer can also

be used to freeze fresh food by positioning it in the freezing

zone; position frozen food so that there is no contact with

fresh food that has yet to be frozen.

The quantity of fresh food that can be frozen in 24 hours is

shown on the rating plate.

Fast freeze function

Press the fast freeze button

(if available) 24 hours before

placing fresh food in the freezer to reach the maximum freezing

capacity stated on the rating plate.

When putting food in to freeze, turn the thermostat control knob

down half a position (e.g: from 3.5 to 3).

The food will be completely frozen in 24 hours. Switch the fast

freeze button off and set the thermostat control knob back to the

position used before freezing (e.g.: from 3.5 to 3).

Refrigerator/freezer temperature alarm

The alarm is activated when:

• the appliance is connected to the power supply for the first time

or after prolonged disuse

• the freezer compartment temperature is inadequate

• the amount of food placed in the freezer exceeds that indicated

on the rating plate

• the freezer door has been left open for a long time

Note

For increased storage space, the freezer compartment can be

used without the two upper baskets; this is possible by removing

them and leaving only the bottom one.

Arrange food on the grids.

Make sure the freezer compartment door closes properly after

introducing the food.
