10.3 Creating a priority circuit
You can create a priority circuit using a changeover relay whereby the external volt-
age supply has priority over the generator, see circuit diagram (fig. c, page 10):
Mount the changeover relay in a suitable position.
Connect the wires following the circuit diagram (fig. c, page 10).
10.4 Connecting the starter battery
A
Connect the positive terminal of the battery (fig. a 1, page 7) with the positive
battery terminal connection using a suitable cable:
Cable lengths < 6 m: Cross-section of 16 mm²
Cable lengths < 6 m: Cross-section of 25 mm²
Connect the negative terminal of the battery (fig. a 2, page 7) with a suitable
cross-section (see above) as follows:
Connect the earth connection of the generator with the vehicle chassis.
Remove any paint or rust from the chassis if necessary to ensure good contact.
Protect the connections with an anti-corrosive agent (e.g. lubricating grease,
lubricant/protective spray).
10.5 Connecting the control panel
Connect the control panel to the connection box using the extension cable pro-
vided on the plug for the control panel (fig. 0, page 6).
10.6 Connecting the float
Connect the float from the tank to the float connection (fig. a 4, page 7).
