4.4 ESC/P2 Set Relative Horizontal Print Position Command

This is another ESC/P2 command for setting the relative horizontal print position. Unlike the set

absolute horizontal print position (ESC $) or the set relative horizontal print position (ESC \)

commands this command allows the horizontal print position to move in 1/1440 inch increments.

Format:

Parameter range:

n1 = 160

n2 = 5

0 ≤ m1 ≤ 255

0 ≤ m2 ≤ 127

Stylus COLOR 600, Stylus COLOR 800, Stylus COLOR 850, Stylus COLOR 1520, and

Stylus COLOR 3000

Function:

- Move the horizontal print position left or right from the current position, as

specified by the following formula:

(New horizontal position) = ((m2x256) + m1) / ((n2x256) + n1) + (current

position)

- n1, n2 show the unit of moving length as (1 / ((n2x256) + n1)) inch

- m1, m2 show the moving length from the current position

Notes:

- This command is printer model dependent.

- The printer ignores this command if it would move the print position outside the

printable area.

- Currently the Stylus printers that implement this command only support parameter

n1=160 and n2=5, this means the unit of move length is 1/1440 inch.
