7. Replace the milk container lid.
Cleaning the coee jug
Clean the jug with a damp cloth and mild washing up liquid.
N.B.: To avoid damaging the appearance of the jug, do
not wash in a dishwasher.
CHANGING AND SETTING MENU
PARAMETERS
When the appliance is ready, you can use the internal menu to
modify the following parameters and functions:
• Chooselanguage
• Rinsing
• Shut-otime
• Setclock
• Starttime
• Auto-start
• Temperature
• Waterhardness
• Programcoee
• Programcappuccino
• Programjug
• Programwater
• Descale
• Resettodefault
• Statistics
• Buzzer
• Contrast
Setting the language
To change the language on the display, proceed as follows:
• Pressthe icon(B2)toenterthemenu.“CHOOSELAN-
GUAGE”isdisplayed.
• PresstheOKicon(B9).
• Pressthe icons (B7) and (B8) until the required lan-
guage is displayed.
• PresstheOKicon(B9)toconrm.
• Pressthe (B6) icon (B6) to exit the menu.
N.B.: If you choose the wrong language, you can access
the menu directly to modify the parameter.
• Pressthe (B2) for at least 7 seconds until the applian-
ce displays the various languages.
• Choosetherequiredlanguageasdescribedinthesection
“Usingtheapplianceforthersttime”.
Rinsing
This function enables you to obtain hotter coee.
Proceed as follows:
• Whenyouturntheapplianceon,ifyouwanttomakea
small cup of coee (less than 60 cc), preheat the cup by
rinsing it with hot water.
• Ifontheotherhandmorethan2/3minuteshavepassed
since the last coee was made, before requesting another
coee, you must preheat the brewing unit by rst pressing
the icon (B2) to enter the menu then the
icons(B7)and(B8)toselectthe“RINSING”function.Press
the OK icon (B9).
“RINSING...PLEASECONFIRM”isdisplayed.
Press the OK icon (B9) again.
Deliver the water into the underlying drip tray or alterna-
tively use this water to ll (and then empty) the cup to be
used for the coee to preheat it.
Changing the length of time the appliance
remains on
The appliance is set by default to go o automatically 30 minutes
after the last coee has been made.
To change this interval (max. 120 min), proceed as follows:
• Pressthe icon (B2) to enter the menu and then the
icons(B7)and(B8)until“SHUT-OFFTIME”isdispla-
yed.
• PresstheOKicon(B9)toconrm.
• Pressthe icons (B7) and (B8) to set the time after
which the appliance will go o (after 1/2 hour, 1 hour, 2
hours).
• PresstheOKicon(B9)toconrm.
• Pressthe icon (B6) to exit.
Setting the clock
• Pressthe icon (B2) to enter the menu and then the
icons (B7) and (B8) until “SET CLOCK” is displayed.
• PresstheOKicon(B9).
• Usethe icons (B7) and (B8) to set the hour, then
press the OK icon (B9) to conrm.
• Usethe icons (B7) and (B8) to set the minutes, then
press the OK icon (B9) to conrm.
• Pressthe (B6) icon (B6) to exit the menu.
Setting auto-start time
This function programmes the time the machine will come on
automatically.
