GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all

1) WORK AREA SAFETY
a)Keepworkareacleanandwelllit.
Clutteredordarkareasinviteaccidents.
b)Donotoperatepowertoolsinexplosiveatmospheres,
suchasinthepresenceofammableliquids,gasesor
dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the
dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating
apowertool.Distractionscancauseyoutolosecontrol.
2) ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a)Powertoolplugsmustmatchtheoutlet.
Nevermodifythepluginanyway.Donotuseanyadapt-
erplugswithearthed(grounded)powertools.
Unmodiedplugsandmatchingoutletswillreducerisk
ofelectricshock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded sur-
facessuchaspipes,radiators,rangesandrefrigerators.
Thereisanincreasedriskofelectricshockifyourbodyis
earthed or grounded.
c)Donotexposepowertoolstorainorwetconditions.
Waterenteringapowertoolwillincreasetheriskofelec-
tricshock.
d)Donotabusethecord.Neverusethecordforcarry-
ing,pullingorunpluggingthepowertool.
Keepcordawayfromheat,oil,sharp edgesormoving
parts.Damagedorentangledcordsincreasetheriskof
electricshock.
e)Whenoperatingapowertooloutdoors,useanexten-
sioncordsuitableforoutdooruse.Useofacordsuitable
foroutdoorusereducestheriskofelectricshock.
f)Ifoperatingapowertoolinadamplocationisunavoid-
able,useanearthleakagecircuitbreaker.
Useofanearthleakagecircuitbreakerreducestherisk
ofelectricshock.
3) PERSONAL SAFETY
a)Stayalert,watchwhatyouaredoingandusecommon
sensewhenoperatingapowertool.Donotuseapower
toolwhileyouaretiredorundertheinuenceofdrugs,
alcoholormedication.
Amomentofinattentionwhileoperatingpowertoolsmay
resultinseriouspersonalinjury.
b)Usepersonalprotectiveequipment.Alwaysweareye
protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection
usedforappropriateconditionswillreducepersonalin-
juries.
c)Preventunintentionalstarting.Ensuretheswitchisin
theo-positionbeforeconnectingtopowersourceand/
orbatterypack,pickinguporcarryingthetool.Carrying
powertoolswithyourngerontheswitchorenergising
powertoolsthathavetheswitchoninvitesaccidents.
d)Removeany adjustingkeyor wrenchbeforeturning
thepowertoolon.Awrenchorakeyleftattachedtoaro-
tatingpartofthepowertoolmayresultinpersonalinjury.
e)Donotoverreach.Keepproperfootingandbalanceat
alltimes.Thisenablesbettercontrolofthepowertoolin
unexpectedsituations.
f)Dressproperly.Donotwearlooseclothingorjewellery.
Keepyourhair,clothingandgloves awayfrommoving
parts.Looseclothes,jewelleryorlonghaircanbecaught
inmovingparts.
g)Ifdevicesareprovidedfortheconnectionofdustex-
traction and collection facilities, ensure these are con-
nected and properly used. Use of dust collection can
reducedust-relatedhazards.
4) POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
a)Donotforcethepowertool.Usethecorrectpowertool
foryourapplication.Thecorrectpowertoolwilldothejob
betterandsaferattherateforwhichitwasdesigned.
b)Donotusethepowertooliftheswitchdoesnotturnit
onando.Anypowertoolthatcannotbecontrolledwith
theswitchisdangerousandmustberepaired.
c)Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersourceand/orthe
batterypackfromthepowertoolbeforemakinganyad-
justments,changingaccessories,orstoringpowertools.
Suchpreventivesafetymeasuresreducetheriskofstart-
ingthepowertoolaccidentally.
d)Storeidlepowertoolsoutofthereachofchildrenand
do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or
theseinstructionstooperatethepowertool.
Powertoolsaredangerousinthehandsofuntrainedus-
ers.
e)Maintainpowertools.Checkformisalignmentorbind-
ingofmovingparts,breakageofpartsandanyothercon-
ditionthatmayaectthepowertool’soperation.Ifdam-
aged, have the power tool repaired before use. Many
accidentsarecausedbypoorlymaintainedpowertools.
f)Keepcuttingtoolssharpandclean.
Properlymaintainedcuttingtoolswithsharpcuttingedg-
esarelesslikelytobindandareeasiertocontrol.
g)Usethepowertool,accessoriesandtoolbitsetc.,in
accordancewiththeseinstructions, taking intoaccount
the working conditions and the work to be performed.
