CPU Cooling Hardware Overview

Below is a diagram showing how the various elements of the CPU cooler assembly fit together. We recommended performing a test fit of the entire cooler

assembly to the motherboard and heat sink before applying any thermal paste. The CPU mount comes with the adjustable arms pre-fitted but will require

adjustment to align them with the CPU cooler mounting holes on the motherboard which varies depending on socket type. Our retention screws are M3, so if

your motherboard already has a backplate with that thread, you won't need to install the supplied M3 nuts to the back of the motherboard. The rest of the parts are

individual packed for protection and should be assembled as shown. For optimal cooling performance, the heat pipes must run perpendicular to the heat sink fins. It

is also critical to apply thermal paste to every contact junction in the path of heat transfer from the CPU to heat sink.

Below is an outline of how the various elements in the cooling assembly fit together. It important to note the general alignment and orientation of the different parts,

especially the heat sink mount in relation of the heat sink FINS as the heat pipes must runs perpendicular to the fins for optimal cooling. Also note that the heat sink

mount should be mounted to the motherboard is the orientation that will align it with the heat sink in the most central position.

At this stage its best to check prepare the motherboard for cooler mounting by fitting the retention nuts to the motherboard. Depending on the CPU socket type,

these exact design will differ and you may also need to remove any existing back plate. If the back plate fitted already support M3 screws, you wont need to remove

it or fit the M3 nuts suppled.
