Please note the following when starting up the
appliance:

This appliance is intended for domestic use
only.

Never use the appliance in the bath, shower
or over a washbasin full of water or with wet
hands.

Do not immerse the appliance in water and
never allow it to come into contact with water,
even when cleaned.

The appliance must never be used near water
in baths, washbasins or other receptacles.

If you use the appliance in the bathroom,
always ensure that the mains plug is
disconnected after use, as the proximity of
water is a potential risk, even if the appliance
is switched off.

If not already available, we recommend the
installation of a residual-current protective
device (RCD) with a rated tripping current of
not more than 30 mA in the bathroom's
electric circuit to provide additional protection.
Ask your electrician.

The appliance reaches very high temperatures.
Never leave your hair between the ceramic
plates for more than a few seconds.

Avoid any contact of your skin with the
ceramic plates.

Never cover the appliance, e.g. with a hand
towel.

Never place the appliance on soft cushions or
blankets/bedcovers while it is switched on.

Remove mains plug from wall socket after use.
Do not remove the plug from the wall socket
by pulling on the cable.

Never start up the appliance if it or the power
cord shows signs of visible damage.

If the power cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service centre
or a similarly qualified person to prevent
danger arising.

Keep the appliance out of reach of children.

The device may not be used by the following
people, including children: those with limited
physical, sensory or mental capabilities and
also those with a lack of experience and
knowledge. This does not apply to the latter if
they were instructed in the use of the device or
if they use it under the supervision of a person
responsible for safety. Children should always
be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the device.

Never open up the appliance. All rights to
claim under the guarantee are invalidated for
damage caused by tampering with the
appliance.
